Mr. Feldenkreis has served as the president, chief executive officer, chief operating officer and vice-chair of Perry Ellis International since 2011, a company founded by his father, a recognized leader in the global apparel market. Assuming full responsibility for the company following his father’s passing in 2025, Perry Ellis International employs approximately 2,000 individuals and has experienced significant growth under Mr. Feldenkreis’s stewardship. Over the course of five decades, the company expanded from $8 million to $900 million in sales. He is especially proud of this achievement and credits the enduring commitment and contributions of his employees, many with tenures exceeding 15 years.

Lauded as a leading designer, distributor and licensor of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and fragrances, Mr. Feldenkreis began his career at Perry Ellis International during high school, working in the company’s retail stores and assisting his father in the office after classes. His early responsibilities included warehouse operations and sales, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the business from the ground up. Mr. Feldenkreis spent considerable time in Asia, where he gained firsthand experience with sourcing and supply chain management for men’s products. His expertise in innovation, product merchandising, and building business relationships has been instrumental to both his personal success and that of the company. These strengths have enabled him to foster key partnerships and drive brand development on an international scale.

Mr. Feldenkreis has held several pivotal roles at Perry Ellis International. As vice-chair, president and chief operating officer, he successfully managed daily operations alongside his father while traveling extensively to develop brands internationally. Mr. Feldenkreis also worked closely with sales, design, and sourcing teams and maintained direct involvement in reading emails and overseeing critical business functions.

A former attendee of the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, Mr. Feldenkreis’s academic experience provided foundational knowledge that supported his early immersion into all facets of Perry Ellis International’s operations. It also contributed to his ability to innovate within a competitive industry.

Mr. Feldenkreis has been affiliated with professional organizations, including the American Apparel and Footwear Association. Beyond these circles, he has been deeply involved in civic organizations and philanthropic endeavors. He has served as a board member for the Annual Diamond Ball Gala for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital since 2019, which he notably chaired in 2023. Earlier, in 2020, he served as a board member for the Super Bowl LIV host committee. Among other active participation, Mr. Feldenkreis has been affiliated with the Young Presidents Organization and the World Presidents Organization, has held board memberships with several school boards at The Wharton School of Retail,  has held advisory roles with the Istituto Marangoni Miami and the Miami Fashion Institute at Miami Dade College, was a board member of the Israeli Defense Forces in Miami and, among other involvement, served as a sponsor for the United Way Tocqueville Society at United Way of Miami-Dade.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Feldenkreis has received numerous honors recognizing his contributions to fashion and business leadership. He received a K.I.D.S. Achievement Award from KID Inc. in 2010, was an apparel industry honoree at the Annual Gala for Ronald McDonald House New York in 2016 and an honoree at the UJA Fashion Division Luncheon in 2017. Among other accolades, Mr. Feldenkreis received the Ponce de Leon CEO of the Year Award from the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2017. Apart from these honors, he was recently featured in a 2025 Women’s Wear Daily article titled ‘Delivering Good Honors Andrew Rosen, Oscar Feldenkreis and the Late George Feldenkreis.

Mr. Feldenkreis attributes his success to hard work, a value instilled by his father, and believes that integrity is paramount to lasting achievement. He encourages others to ask questions without fear of mistakes, set meaningful goals and uphold one’s reputation above all else. In Mr. Feldenkreis’s view, generosity is a core value rooted in family heritage. He maintains that true generosity often requires sacrifice and that giving back is an essential measure of success.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Mr. Feldenkreis has built a life centered on family values and community engagement alongside his wife and three daughters. Looking ahead, he intends to remain active professionally while devoting more time to family pursuits and educational initiatives that benefit future generations. Mr. Feldenkreis also recognizes artificial intelligence as a valuable tool but remains mindful of its impact on critical thinking skills among young people.
