He began his career with the Ford Motor Company, for which he worked as a sales and marketing manager from 1985 to 2016, the district sales manager for the South Pacific in Tokyo, Japan from 1996 to 1998, a regional sales manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 2005 to 2012, and both the vice president and chief marketing officer in Seoul, South Korea from 2012 to 2016. During this time, Mr. Schuldt served as the general manger for Bucho with the Mazda Motor Corporation in Tokyo from 2001 to 2004.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Schuldt pursued an education at Bowling Green State University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a triple major in international business, international relations and international economics in 1982. He concluded his studies at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, graduating with a master’s degree in international management in 1985. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Schuldt obtained a certificate in executive education from the Ford Strategic Marketing Program at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business in 2001.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Schuldt has participated in numerous endeavors within the field. He has been notably affiliated with the American Chamber of Commerce Korea (AMCHAM Korea), for which he was appointed as the chairman of the auto committee from 2014 to 2017 and the president from 2016 to 2017. Likewise, he was elected to the executive council and the advisory board for USO Korea between 2014 and 2017. Recruited as a member of the financial advisory council for the Mayor of Seoul, Korea from 2016 to 2019, Mr. Schuldt further found success as a board member for the Korean American Association and a member of the Fulbright Scholarship Program for the Korean American Education Commission from 2016 to 2017.
