Daniel “Kowalski” Reynolds Cahoon, founder of Liminality, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in information technology and business development.
With three decades of experience in the field of enterprise architecture and business development, Mr. Cahoon has excelled in various roles throughout his career, focusing on artificial intelligence work and linguistic and semantic architecture. Currently, he is the founder of Liminality, a position he has held since 2024. Liminality pioneers innovative interdisciplinary research, exploring the frontiers of cognition, AI, and cultural evolution. Its mission is to redefine intelligence, foster collaboration, and address complex global challenges.
Mr. Cahoon is also a founder and managing member of Hoodalalee LLC since 2022. In this role, he is responsible for the business operations, marketing, commercial business services, and guest experience at the company’s self-check-in properties and excursions in the mountains of Hanksville, Utah. Additionally, he serves as the principal of enterprise architecture, platform architecture, and business development at H&R Block, HRB Digital LLC, a role he has occupied since 2021.
Prior to his current positions, Mr. Cahoon was the director of enterprise architecture at H&R Block, HRB Digital LLC from 2017 to 2021. Before that, he served as principal architect from 2009 to 2017 and as architect from 2002 to 2009 within the same organization. His early career was marked by significant roles at T-Mobile USA Inc., previously Sprint, where he worked as a technical lead developer, data analyst, and operations manager from 1990 to 2002. During this period, he also collaborated with Pinpoint and Continental AG.
At H&R Block, Mr. Cahoon implemented AI using IBM Watson and submitted a patent invention called “labeling.” Rather than seeking financial gain from his invention, his primary goal is to utilize the patent to promote responsible AI development. By potentially pursuing infringement cases, he hopes to encourage ethical and accountable AI practices. In addition, he penned “Patentee, Interface for Artificial Intelligence Training” in 2024 and is working on a book on linguistic and semantic architecture.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cahoon has successfully launched multiple startups, playing a pivotal role in their development by defining the critical components and architecture necessary for their success. His career is underscored by his dedication to innovation and the integration of artificial intelligence into various fields. He attributes his success to an insatiable curiosity and a profound appreciation for empathy and faith, which have guided his actions and shaped his perspectives. He also regards his most important accomplishment as his enduring marriage and the joy and fulfillment brought by raising four children over the past 30 years.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Cahoon pursued an education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts in 2007. He continued his academic efforts at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the same university, where he concluded his studies with a Master of Business Administration in entrepreneurial studies in 2012.

He is committed to addressing the challenges posed by human impact on the environment and empowering those who are often marginalized by societal structures.
