Carving out a distinguished career, Mr. Aberdeen has excelled in the field of business management and investments. He has served as an owner of Aberdeen Strategic Investments LLC since 2023. That same year, he also established the Aberdeen Wellness Spa, a unique establishment dedicated to enhancing wellness and rejuvenation, specializing in the use of cutting-edge oxygen hydrotherapy technology.
Mr. Aberdeen is also a co-founder of a sports talent agency based in Europe, NexGem Talent Management USA LLC, established in 2001, dedicated to discovering and placing talented athletes in clubs across Europe and the United States. The agency primarily focuses on soccer and track and field but plans to expand into other sports. They secure scholarships and endorsement opportunities and offer consulting services for investments, certified public accountant services, and support for retiring athletes. The agency is also launching NexGem TV, featuring high-level athletes as life coaches or analysts to guide younger athletes.
Additionally, Mr. Aberdeen holds exclusive distribution rights to sell an oxygen hydrotherapy system across the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, India, and Bangladesh. He is dedicated to making this advanced system accessible due to its significant health benefits, aiming to promote well-being by offering people the opportunity to experience its rejuvenating and medical advantages. Before these roles, he served as the managing director at Gen II Fund Services from 2017 to 2023, leading fund administration and client services. Previously, he held a directorial position at Platinum Equity from 2013 to 2017. His career began as an accountant at Geller & Company from 2006 to 2009. He then advanced to manager at SS&C Technologies from 2009 to 2012.
Starting in private equity in 2006, Mr. Aberdeen rose to managing director, nearly becoming a partner at his firm. Facing challenges as a Caribbean native in corporate America, he was motivated to start his own business. The founding of Aberdeen Wellness Spa on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan stands out as a highlight of his career.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Aberdeen pursued his academic efforts at the University of South Carolina Aiken, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in 2005 and an Executive Master of Business Administration in finance from the Zicklin School of Business in 2018.
Mr. Aberdeen’s accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including Top CFO and Co-Founder by the International Association of Top Professionals in 2024, Accountant Student of the Year at the University of South Carolina, and placements on the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List.
