Prior to these positions, he served as the head of financial risk at NEOM in 2023 and as vice president of financial risk at TAQA GLOBAL from 2020 to 2022. He also held the role of group corporate treasurer at TAQA, Industrialization and Energy Services Company from 2018 to 2020, and director of treasury risk management at Sadara Chemical Company from 2016 to 2018. His career also includes a decade as an independent trading, risk, and treasury consultant from 2007 to 2016, and a notable tenure as the chief risk officer at Citigroup’s Private Bank from 2005 to 2007.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Gosserand pursued an education at Northwest Missouri State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics. He continued his academic efforts at Avila University, earning a Master of Business Administration in finance and economics, graduating cum laude.
Following these accomplishments, Mr. Gosserand completed several certifications, including certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance, a certified diploma in Islamic Finance from CIMA, certified treasury professional from the Association for Financial Professionals, and project management professional from the Project Management Institute.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Gosserand has participated in various speaking engagements and conferences. He has been a prominent speaker at events such as Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East 2020 and Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Saudi Arabia 2019, where he shared his insights on financial risk management and energy trading.
Mr. Gosserand is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Association for Financial Professionals, the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and the CFA Institute. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career, including recognition as the youngest chief risk officer at Citigroup.
