Throughout her career, Ms. Carswell’s most notable achievement has been co-founding the Blue Ocean Film Festival. The festival was instrumental in inspiring a new generation of filmmakers dedicated to educating the world on critical issues such as climate change and habitat destruction. It brought in networks to teach storytelling techniques that captivate audiences and motivate them to take action. Filmmakers learned how to convey their messages effectively, growing under the festival’s guidance.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Carswell remains actively involved in various organizations. She supports the United Way and provides free services to the community. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.

Additionally, she received a National Daytime Emmy Nomination for Best Travel Program from The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2015 and the Max Award for the Wild American Shrimp Campaign in 2006.
