With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Manente has excelled as the global vice president for retail solutions at Softtek since 2021. In this position, he plays a key role in developing innovative solutions, processes, and approaches for data recipients. Moreover, Mr. Manente is also responsible for identifying new methods of adapting existing creations for utilization in other sectors, which demonstrates his versatility and commitment to innovation.
Prior to this post, Mr. Manente served as the global senior director for retail at Softtek from 2019 to 2021. He previously worked at Estapar, a leading parking company in Brazil, as the head of information technology from 2013 to 2018 and the head of innovation and market intelligence from 2018 to 2019. During his time at Estapar, he led a digital transformation that revolutionized the company’s operations, establishing a robust digital infrastructure that facilitated advanced parking reservations and virtual wallet payments for street parking, the success of which attracted interest from major cities like San Francisco, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam. Ultimately, Mr. Manente’s efforts lead to the aforementioned company’s acquisition for $120 million and the sale of 20% of the company for $500 million.
Mr. Manente began his career as a lead analyst and developer at Genari & Peartree from 2002 to 2005 before accepting a position as a business analyst at Unibanco Seguros S.A. from 2003 to 2005. He was subsequently active as a team leader at IBM from 2005 to 2008, during which time he was honored with the Bravo Award in 2006, an EAI test and configuration management team leader at Sprint from 2006 to 2008, and a solutions architect at Sprint in 2007. Mr. Manente found further success in key roles at Walmart Latin America, including a senior manager from 2011 to 2013, a merchandising and integration system manager from 2010 to 2011, and a project manager from 2008 to 2010.
In addition to his primary responsibilities, Mr. Manente has been the founder of IQRight since 2023, a venture that integrates Bluetooth technology with artificial intelligence to assist schools with the dismissal process, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and enhance security. Driven by his desire to leverage technology to make a positive impact on the lives of others, his system is currently being tested in Northern Arkansas, Brazil, and Mexico. Mr. Manente’s commitment to community service is further evident in his extensive charity work in Brazil and his recent volunteer work at a foundation in Northern Arkansas that assists retired police officers with disabilities.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Manente initially pursued an education at Centro Superior de Formação Tecnológica Carlos Drummond de Andrade, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems in 2004. He continued his formal studies with a master’s degree in finance and financial management services from Faculdade Ítalo Brasileiro in 2006. To further refine his skills, he accrued certifications as an e-commerce manager from Internet Innovation in 2017 and as a professional cloud architect and a professional data engineer for Google Cloud in 2019. Mr. Manente concluded his academic efforts at The University of Texas at Austin in 2021, graduating with a master’s degree in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Attributing his success to his unwavering resilience in facing numerous challenges, a trait that he developed from a young age, Mr. Manente was drawn to his field after securing placement in a highly competitive school in Brazil where he learned to code and create programs. In 2001, he participated in the Challenge Project through the GNP company, which allowed him to obtain a Microsoft certification with a 99% discount based on his test scores. As a testament to his extraordinary achievements, he was recognized among the Top 25 Consumer and Retail Consultants and Leaders by The Consulting Report in 2023 and 2024 and received awards from Softtek and Walmart International.
