Her experience also includes serving as interim area senior director of nursing and perioperative services at CommonSpirit Health in 2022 and as director of nursing and operations at K and B Surgical Center LLC from 2019 to 2021. She was an interim chief nursing officer and project consultant at Community Hospital in 2020, director of critical care services at Ventura County Health Care Agency from 2018 to 2019, and project manager for the nurse magnet program at Holy Cross Medical Center, Providence from 2017 to 2018. She also served as a nurse manager at PCU-Holy Cross Medical Center, Providence, from 2016 to 2017, as assistant nurse manager in the ICU at Holy Cross Medical Center, Providence, from 2015 to 2016, and as staff nurse at Providence from 2005 to 2015.
Ms. Weber is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Competency & Credentialing Institute, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the Association of California Nurse Leaders. She has served as the chair of the Health Equity Task Force at AORN Inc. since 2024, a board member of AORN Inc., Silicon Valley Chapter 0513 since 2024, and has participated in the Care of the Transgender Patient Task Force at AORN Inc. since 2023. In light of her impressive undertakings, she received the OR Excellence Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Optimal Care for All from Outpatient Surgery Magazine and AORN Inc. in 2023. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned a master’s degree in nurse education and a Master of Business Administration in hospital management from Western Governors University in 2022 and is pursuing a PhD as a nurse practitioner at Capella University. Her certifications include nurse executive advanced-board certified from the American Nurses Association, certified nurse operating room from the Competency and Credentialing Institute, critical care registered nurse, public health nurse, and registered nurse.
In the coming years, Ms. Weber is focused on advancing health care and promoting health equity on a national level. She prefers not to target a specific title, believing in allowing opportunities to unfold naturally and staying open-minded about where her future may lead. While she has more goals she wishes to achieve, she remains committed to fully pursuing her work in executive nursing and health care leadership. In advising aspiring professionals, she emphasizes the importance of taking the leap. She acknowledges that embracing change is challenging, but if nursing feels like a calling, it is worth pursuing. She says for those drawn to the field, the rewards extend beyond financial compensation, providing profound impact and fulfillment that money alone cannot offer.
