Ezekeil Obasi, BS, MS, manager at The Original Springs Hotel, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hospitality.
With over two decades of experience, Mr. Obasi has built a successful career in the hospitality industry. He currently serves as the manager of The Original Springs Hotel, a position he has held since 2023. Additionally, he has been the president of B.C. Construction & Contractor Inc. since 2019 and an executive consultant for Business Connections LLC since 2002. His experience also includes serving as the president of Computers R US USA from 2008 to 2021. He has also been an adjunct business professor at Harris–Stowe State University since 2015. He has served as the director of education activities for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. from 2003 to 2005, president-elect of Collegiate 100 with 100 Black Men of America Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for African Americans through mentoring, education, and community outreach programs, from 2003 to 2005, and president of the Student Government Association at Harris-Stowe State University from 2002 to 2003. He is also a mentor with 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club. The Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club provides a safe and supportive environment for young people, offering a range of programs and activities aimed at fostering academic success, personal growth, and community involvement.
In recognition of his impressive accomplishments, Mr. Obasi has received several honors, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from Harris-Stowe State University in 2019, being named one of Deluxe Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2010, and inclusion on the National Dean’s List in 2005. He also earned the Board of Regents Scholarship from 2002 to 2005 and received the Student Government Award for two consecutive years, as well as the Mashon Nelson Scholarship. Laying a solid educational foundation for these successes, he earned a Bachelor of Science in information sciences and computer technology with a minor in Management Information Systems from Harris-Stowe State University in 2005. He went on to obtain a Master of Arts in information technology with a minor in business management from Webster University in 2009 and is currently pursuing an accelerated International Master of Business Administration with a specialization in project management.
In the coming years, Mr. Obasi aspires to bottle his own water and distribute the product to local retail stores. He is particularly interested in promoting a mineral spring in Illinois, encouraging entrepreneurs and businesspeople to visit and enjoy relaxing mineral baths. His objective is to attract people from all over the world to this mineral spring. His motto is, “Being a volunteer, being in an organization, and being among other like-minded people can help you advance in life.” When advising aspiring professionals, he emphasizes that nothing comes easy and encourages others to step up to challenges. He advises setting big goals but being prepared for difficulties along the way. He stresses the importance of not being too hard on oneself when facing setbacks and suggests finding an outlet of serenity to manage stress before regrouping.
