Joel Richmond, Co-Director at Advantage QuickStart Tennis, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in tennis.
With a decade of experience, Mr. Richmond has thrived as the Co-Director of Advantage QuickStart Tennis since 2021. He has also been the Site Director and Staff Instructor since 2014. Previously, he was a consultant with Advantage Tennis Clubs from 2014 to 2015 and a staff instructor with Paragon Athletic Club from 2010 to 2012. His love of coaching and being a role model for children led him to choose his career path. He was introduced to tennis at the age of six, and it eventually became his favorite sport.
Before entering his profession, Mr. Richmond earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Russian and Eurasian Studies from Bard College in 2012. He then received a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago in 2014. As a testament to his success, Mr. Richmond was named New York PTR Coach of the Year from the Professional Tennis Registry in 2023, received a Coach’s Award from Men’s Varsity Tennis from 2009 to 2012, and a Team Sportsmanship Award from the Bard College Athletic Department in 2012. Looking towards the future, he would like to have a more significant role within the company. He wants to work more with the junior programs to shape and enhance them. He eventually would like to establish his own tennis business in New York City. He feels this will be the best way for his knowledge and skill set to impact the sport substantially.
