Yuri Cordero, vice president and executive producer at “Primer Impacto,” Univision Network, Univision Communications Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in media and entertainment.

With over three decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Cordero has built a successful career in media and entertainment, specializing in television news production and broadcast journalism. She currently serves as vice president and executive producer of “Primer Impacto” on the Univision Network at Univision Communications Inc., a role she has held since 2023. “Primer Impacto,” which translates to “First Impact,” is a top-rated American Spanish-language news magazine and one of the longest-running programs on Spanish-language television. Her experience also includes serving as executive producer at Univision Communications Inc. from 2016 to 2022, general producer for “Primer Impacto” from 2011 to 2016, assignment manager from 2010 to 2011, and chief assignment editor and producer from 1998 to 2010. Earlier in her career, she worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer at Miavision and Local Edition of CNN Headline News from 1992 to 1998 and as a reporter and anchor at News Radio 940 WINZ in 1997. 

Ms. Cordero has also contributed as co-author of “Winning Strategies for Success: Succeeding in Business in Any Market” with Brian Tracy, published by Brian Tracy Publishing in 2024, and is the author of “The Virtue of the Process” in 2023 and “La Virtud del Proceso” in 2021. Additionally, she has served as a keynote speaker at the Presidential Volunteer Service Award Ceremony. She takes pride in being one of only two Hispanics featured in “Winning Strategies for Success: Succeeding in Business in Any Market,” and the sole journalist contributor. Her chapter, “Unleash Your Potential: The Kronos Method,” offers 10 steps for achieving goals. She is also the author of “La Virtud del Proceso (The Virtue of the Process),” which began as a leadership book but evolved into a memoir detailing her trials and triumphs. In recognition of her extensive community work, she was nominated for the Florida Marlins Agent of Impact Award, presented during the 30th anniversary of her program at Marlins Park.

Ms Cordero serves as a leader at Segadores de Vida and preaches her testimony internationally.  Laying an educational foundation, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Sociology from St. Thomas University and is a certified chaplain through AIC Capellania. Additionally, she is a certified speaker, trainer, and coach in leadership through Maxwell Leadership, with further certifications from The Alchemy Group, Segadores de Vida, Nova Southeastern University, and Smith College. She attributes her success to her early experiences and unwavering work ethic. She began working at a flea market at the age of 13 and has never been without a job since. In the coming years, she aims to focus on public speaking, mentorship, and conducting master classes on leadership, personal growth, and development through her company, High Grace LLC, a ministry focused on leadership training, which serves as the platform for Ms. Cordero’s speaking engagements and book sales, as well as continuing to excel in her current position
