Darryl S. Fuller, director of research and development at TB3NDT, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aerospace.
With over three decades of experience, Mr. Fuller has established a successful career in aerospace, currently exceling as the founder and owner of Third Reef Inspection, established in 2024. In this capacity, he leverages his background in strategic business development for aerospace non-destructive testing to accommodates a diverse client base, including Virginia Galactic, NASA, major airlines, and corporate jet operators like Gulfstream. His experience also includes roles as director of research and development at TB3 NDT Consulting LLC and Riverhead since 2024, aerospace business development manager at Applied Technical Services LLC from 2023 to 2024, and aviation NDT operations manager at Applied Technical Services LLC from 2021 to 2023. Previously, he served as responsible NDT level III at Gulfstream Aerospace from 2018 to 2021 and held various positions at Bombardier Aerospace, GN Net Test, and Lear Seigler Management Corporation since 1992. He is also a member of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and the National Fire Protection Agency.
Mr. Fuller’s laid a strong educational foundation, earning an Aviation Maintenance Tech certification from Riverside School of Aeronautics in 1993, and completed specialized training in propeller design and hydro-dynamics at Propeller Dynamics and in static and dynamic balancing at Hoffman Balancing School between 1999 and 2000. His qualifications in non-destructive testing (NDT) were furthered through courses at TB3 NDT and Hellier NDT, as well as structured light and aircraft dent analysis at 8-Tree. Additional certifications include ultrasonics from TB3 NDT, thermography from the Infrared Training Center, and yacht surveying from Chapman School of Seamanship in 2023. He also holds ASNT Level III certification in NDT and FAA airframe and powerplant mechanic certification. His other credentials include ABYC-certified advisor status, project manager certification from Gulfstream Aerospace, and a commercial driver’s license in Georgia.
In the coming years, Mr. Fuller aims to give back to the aerospace industry while achieving personal fulfillment. Professionally, he is dedicated to mentoring young people, particularly advocating for women in aerospace, and fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals are equally valued. He takes pride in problem-solving, with a focus on space flight and Department of Defense projects and is enthusiastic about collaborating with his new boss on NASA-related initiatives. Personally, he seeks recognition as a leading industry expert, balancing financial stability with active professional engagement. Looking to the future, rather than pursuing traditional retirement, he envisions continuing his work with the same dedication until at least age 70.
