As part of his continued commitments to the insurance sector, Mr. Diamond served as the president of the Professional Wholesalers Insurance Association between 2023 and 2024. As a testament to his tenacity as a foremost professional in his field, he was presented with the Businessman of the Year Award from the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce in 1998. More recently, the United Jewish Appeal recognized him as the Insurance Industry Man of the Year in 2016.
Dedicated to giving back to those in his community, Mr. Diamond has been leading the South Shore Jewish Center as the president and was responsible for handling the merger between Congregation Beth Sholom and the Island Park Jewish Center. Additionally, he has contributed to the organization of a senior softball tournament for St. Jude’s and Tunnels 2 Towers and the sponsorship of wellness and fitness events in conjunction with the American Cancer Society.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Diamond was active as the president of Metropolitan Midtown Company Inc., a New York-based property and casualty broker in 1985. He formerly served as the president of Long Island Sports Complex Inc. from 2008 to 2018, YA Tittle Insurance Co. between 2008 and 2015, Metrotel Inc. from 1995 to 2010, and Hollywood Health Spa between 1986 and 2001. Throughout his remarkable career, his most notable achievement was revitalizing a company on the verge of bankruptcy when he purchased it. Mr. Diamond was instrumental in restarting and rehabilitating the company, successfully transforming it into a thriving organization that has since been valued at close to $200 million.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Diamond graduated with a diploma from Baldwin High School in 1968. He subsequently pursued a formal education at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1972. Renowned for his honesty and integrity, Mr. Diamond attributes his success to open communication and availability, which have fostered loyalty among clients and employees alike.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Diamond enjoys playing softball in his free time, an activity that symbolizes his steadfast commitment to maintaining good health.
