Nigel Chiddick, president and chief executive officer of Seven Source LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction.
Beginning at the age of 17, when he worked creating roofing materials with his father, Mr. Chiddick has established himself as a reliable and respected leader in the field of construction and premium roofing manufacturing. Building on those early experiences, he became an estimator and project manager at Snyder Roofing of Washington LLC in 2001. After nearly 10 years with Snyder Roofing, Mr. Chiddick joined Soprema as a manager for the California and Hawaii Districts. He later took on the role of west region district manager for American Hydrotech Inc. Mr. Chiddick specializes in sustainable design and building envelope (roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall) technologies.
Mr. Chiddick’s expertise culminated in 2018 when he launched his own roofing and waterproofing company, Seven Source LLC. Since then, he has served as the president and chief executive officer, as well as fulfilling the position of manufacturer representative for several years. Mr. Chiddick’s day-to-day duties include managing multiple projects and ensuring that all waterproofing is completed to the highest level of quality and consistency. He works with numerous consultants and provides his own guidance and insight to clients. Mr. Chiddick is particularly proud of creating one of the few Black-owned roofing agencies in the state of California, and his success with the firm in this respect has been noted by many observers. In 2024, Seven Source LLC was ranked 27th on a list of the fastest-growing minority-owned companies in North America.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Chiddick sought an education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on management from the University of Phoenix in 2004. Mr. Chiddick has further solidified his credentials by staying active in numerous relevant organizations. He maintains membership in the American Institute of Architects, the Construction Specifications Institute, the National Organization of Minority Architects, and Kappa Alpha Psi.
Additionally known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Chiddick regularly gives his time, energy and money to causes he believes in. Most notably, he makes yearly donations to the Southern Foundation, a nonprofit that supports the five campuses of the Southern University System in Louisiana. Mr. Chiddick is also the founder of Black Building Envelope Professionals. Through this professional organization, he supports other minorities in the roofing, construction and waterproofing fields. Mr. Chiddick knows the value of that positive reinforcement, as he faced regular skepticism from critics who told him he would never make it. He credits his success to resilience, a strong work ethic, and his ability to turn those harsh criticisms into motivation.
Outside of his career, Mr. Chiddick is a dedicated husband and father to one daughter. When he’s not working, he enjoys exercising, practicing yoga, boxing and weightlifting. Looking ahead, Mr. Chiddick intends to continue growing the successful presence of Seven Source LLC. Moreover, he’s excited by the prospect of contributing to a new generation of construction projects across the state of California.
