Leveraging over 25 years of success in leadership and over 10 years in senior project management positions, Mr. Chicas has been instrumental in project execution. Beginning his career in the United States Marine Corps, he held various positions, including aviation support equipment manager, production control specialist and program manager, and simulations manager, before retiring as a headquarters and support battalion operations manager until 2015.
Following his exit from the military, Mr. Chicas continued to excel, earning various positions at SUEZ in New York, Southern Cross Corporation in New York City, Weston & Sampson, SUEZ Water Technologies and Solutions and PW Power Systems (now Mitsubishi Power Aero), all based in Connecticut, and Hydrogen Group in Juno Beach, Florida. During his tenure in the field, he successfully installed six mobile power plants for a project, one of his most notable accomplishments. Mr. Chicas’ well-rounded expertise in waste treatment, water treatment, clean water, natural gas and electrical has been pivotal to his success.
Becoming highly educated, Mr. Chicas received an associate degree from the College of DuPage in 1997. He then attended DeVry University, earning an Associate of Science in computer networking in 2017, a Bachelor of Science in technical management with a concentration in project management in 2018, and a Master of Business Education in project management in 2020. Mr. Chicas also holds credentials as a project management professional through the Project Management Institute and certification as an aircraft maintenance ground support equipment mechanic through the Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center. Attributing his success to his diligence, Mr. Chicas aspires to secure a director role with a long-term goal of leading a project management office where he can have a more significant impact.
