She held the same title at Jacobs Australia between 2021 and 2022, following her role as a CPS program manager at Jacobs Australia in 2021. Ms. Bennett’s earlier tenure as a management consultant at Jacobs from 2019 to 2021 allowed her to hone her skills in operational delivery and strategic advice.
In 2018, Ms. Bennett contributed her expertise as a gateway reviewer for the New Zealand Defense Force under the New Zealand Government and as a senior project manager for the Australian Government. That year, she also worked as an enterprise change manager for the Department of Defense of Australia. In 2017, Ms. Bennett managed ICT WPIT programs for the Department of Human Services.
From 2015 to 2017, Ms. Bennett was a SharePoint program manager at Certor Sports, LLC, after serving as a senior project manager there from 2014 to 2015. She first worked for the Department of Defense Australia in 2004 as a project director and manager for two years.
Ms. Bennett’s foundational professional experience was shaped by her distinguished service in the Australian Army from 1982 to 2003. Joining the military at age 17, she served full time for over 20 years, primarily during peacetime, and subsequently completed over a decade in reserve service. Ms. Bennett’s military career included deployment to East Timor while raising two children as a single parent and a three-month assignment in Hawaii. Despite facing challenges, such as loss of seniority due to maternity leave policies and navigating a male-dominated environment, she maintained confidence in her abilities and advanced into middle management roles within field-force units. Ms. Bennett credits her military experience with developing resilience, leadership skills and a high level of physical fitness, attributes that have supported her subsequent success in civilian roles.
A significant milestone during Ms. Bennett’s transition from military service involved managing a ministerial submission project that spanned two-and-a-half years, from securing funding approval through completion, while working within the chief information officer group and operating her own business. The project was delivered on schedule and nearly 10% under budget while providing substantial operational capability. She has also held command responsibilities during her military service.

Throughout her career journey, Ms. Bennett has demonstrated adaptability across diverse sectors, including defense, government services, information technology and consulting. She is praised for her ability to assemble skilled teams rather than relying solely on personal expertise, a lesson reinforced by her belief that teamwork is essential for achieving organizational goals.

She attributes her enduring success to resilience, integrity and a problem-solving mindset that views obstacles as catalysts for progress rather than setbacks. By fostering collaboration among talented professionals across disciplines and maintaining a sense of humor, Ms. Bennett continues to set high standards for herself and those around her.
Looking ahead, Ms. Bennett seeks new opportunities at the director or executive level where she can drive results through strategic leadership rather than hands-on delivery alone.
