Nick Metcalf, senior director of revenue operations for GTM strategy, planning & SPMO at Alteryx, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in business operations.
With years of experience to his credit, Mr. Metcalf has found much success as the senior director of revenue operations at Alteryx, where he has focused on aligning the company’s go-to-market strategy with its operational goals since 2024. Likewise, his current responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership and external consultants to ensure strategic alignment across various initiatives. Furthermore, he is particularly proud of his ongoing efforts to maximize return on investment by driving automation and incorporating artificial intelligence into their practices to increase productivity while simultaneously reducing operational costs. Prior to this position, his impressive career at Alteryx has been marked by a series of progressive roles that have honed his expertise in revenue operations and strategic planning, including as a team lead for the commissions systems from 2020 to 2021, a senior manager in sales operations from 2021 to 2022 and the director of revenue operations from 2022 to 2024.
In the years prior, Mr. Metcalf gained a wealth of valuable experience at Canidium, where he held several positions between 2016 and 2020, including technical practice lead and lead consultant. His earlier career roles included working as a real estate development coordinator at Chipotle Mexican Grill and a corporate strategy intern at Molson Coors Beverage Company. Additionally, Mr. Metcalf cut his teeth in the corporate world by managing operations at Assurance Roofing Company Inc., where he also contributed to the finance team.
Before embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Metcalf pursued a formal education at Colorado State University, where he initially earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and statistics in 2012. He subsequently concluded his studies at the aforementioned university in 2015, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance.Notably, he holds distinction as the youngest person to enroll in the Executive MBA program at Colorado State University, which would usually require ten years of practical work experience beforehand. Mr. Metcalf’s academic excellence during this time was recognized with honors such as recognition as a University Honors Scholar and induction into the Dean’s List.
In addition to his formal education, Mr. Metcalf holds certifications as a Callidus Commissions Specialist from CallidusCloud and level one certification from Xactly Incent Implementation from Xactly Corp. These credentials have further enhanced his ability to drive automation and incorporate artificial intelligence into business processes.
Mr. Metcalf’s commitment to professional growth is reflected in his affiliation with the Mortar Board National Honor Society and Sigma Alpha Lambda Honor Society. He has also been honored among the Top 50 Sales Compensation Leaders to Watch for 2025, which he cites as the most notable honor of his career thus far.
Beyond his primary endeavors, Mr. Metcalf is deeply involved in his community as a volunteer at his local church. He attributes much of his success to the support of his family and church community, which aided in his professional and personal maturation, as well as the mentorship he has received throughout his career. Mr. Metcalf is also proud to impart his wisdom onto others, as he recently participated in a podcast episode explaining his role in the revenue operations of Alteryx.
In his spare time, Mr. Metcalf enjoys renovating and flipping houses alongside his spouse, an interior designer. Together, they are raising four wonderful children in Denver, Colorado. Looking toward the future, Mr. Metcalf aspires to become an executive at his current company, aiming to align corporate strategy with operational teams while leveraging artificial intelligence tools to empower his team and foster growth opportunities.
