Before being acquired by Kuehne+Nagel, Mr. Pimenta was a business development manager at GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, from 2023 to 2024. Between 2021 and 2023, he also excelled as a sales manager for global transport and logistics at DSV, where he led teams responsible for driving sales growth and optimizing logistics solutions for multinational customers.
From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Pimenta excelled as a trade lane manager for the USA-Brazil trade lane at Agility in Miami, Florida. In this role, he acted as a commercial bridge between Brazil and the U.S. during a critical period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. He successfully developed major accounts and facilitated the urgent transportation of large volumes of materials from Brazil to the U.S. Mr. Pimenta previously served as the head of sales at Agility, starting in 2015, overseeing sales operations, which encompassed over 45 accounts, and leading initiatives that contributed to the company’s growth in Latin America.
Mr. Pimenta began his professional journey with Agility in Brazil, serving as a customer service representative from 2009 to 2011 and as an operations coordinator between 2009 and 2013. He briefly pivoted when Arcese recruited him in 2012, where he honed his skills in client relations and market development. Mr. Pimenta then joined Kuehne+Nagel as a sales executive from 2013 to 2015, only to return to the organization a few years later.
A graduate of Salvador University in Brazil, Mr. Pimenta earned a bachelor’s degree in international business in 2010. Beyond his education, he has been an active member of industry organizations, such as the Association of Brazilian Professionals in Logistics in the USA, demonstrating his commitment to professional development within the field. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Pimenta has demonstrated civic engagement through volunteer work with TETO Brasil. Moreover, he authored “Entre Nações e Negócios.” Published in 2019, his book reflects his insights into international business practices.
Inspired to pursue a career in logistics after an internship at the port in his hometown, this formative experience sparked Mr. Pimenta’s fascination with the fast-paced industry and its diverse clientele. Since that time, Mr. Pimenta has been fortunate to have gained extensive mentorship from colleagues. Looking ahead, he aims to give back to the industry on a larger scale by establishing his own business focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises as they navigate import/export processes between the U.S. and other countries.
