Petek Hawkins, vice president of revenue enablement and operations at Pax8 Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in sales and data architecture.
With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Ms. Hawkins has built deep expertise in revenue-related roles, from door-to-door sales all the way up to management. Beginning as a sales manager and later a team lead at Cbeyond, she joined the marketing and sales team at Martini Park Chicago in 2007. Ms. Hawkins’ early experiences include time as a complex sales portfolio senior manager at ServiceSource and several years as a sales and marketing director and vice president at TouchSource. She accepted a position as global sales enablement and onboarding leader at Zoom Video Communications in 2018.
Ms. Hawkins’ tenure at Zoom would prove to be a milestone in her career. She played a key role in Zoom’s transformation from a small organization into a major publicly traded company. Overseeing all onboarding across the company, Ms. Hawkins helped oversee orientation for hundreds of thousands of people in the United States and Japan. Her steady guidance positioned Zoom for continued growth as a business and a brand.
Further building on that success, Ms. Hawkins took over global sales enablement and productivity for Fivetran Inc., where she was later promoted to director of enablement and head of global learning, enablement and development. In 2018, she became head of enablement at Melio, simultaneously contributing as a productivity and revenue coach with Trust Enablement, a speaker with Sales Enablement Pro, and a speaker and author with the Sales Enablement Society. Since 2022, Ms. Hawkins has served as a partner with Curious Lion, a leadership development company, and as the vice president of revenue enablement and operations for Pax8 Inc.
Culminating her years of experience, Ms. Hawkins’ role at Pax8 Inc. has her overseeing the organization’s go-to-market strategy, monitoring vendor performance and ensuring that revenue growth is aligned with expectations. She manages all of Pax8’s sales operations, with a focus on keeping processes efficient. Ms. Hawkins also collaborates with leaders at the company to identify opportunities for improvement. She has carried forth her reputation of exceeding expectations, regularly surpassing targets and assisting with the growth and sustainability of the organizations.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Hawkins learned the fundamentals through her academic journey. She first completed coursework in biochemistry and financial technology at Indiana University Bloomington. Subsequently, Ms. Hawkins earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004. She has solidified her credentials with a number of certifications, including in communication styles through HRDQ; as a sales challenger through Challenger Performance Optimization Inc.; as an expert practitioner through PXT Select; and in command of message through Force Management. Ms. Hawkins is also trained in CPR and automated external defibrillators via the National CPR Foundation and as a yoga teacher through CorePower Yoga. She taught yoga courses through the latter organization from 2016 to 2022.
Known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Ms. Hawkins has also found numerous causes to devote her time and energy to outside of her primary vocation. Most notably, she is a founding member of the Colorado chapter of Women in Sales Enablement (WiSE), where she has served as a leader of the chapter since 2019. WiSE aims to raise awareness about opportunities for women in the workforce, providing support and driving job placement. Ms. Hawkins also supports organizations dedicated to child and youth care and elderly populations, the Alzheimer’s Association and the emergency response group for CARE, a nonprofit committed to fighting poverty. She volunteers with the Imerman Angels, a one-on-one cancer support group.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Hawkins is a loving wife and mother to two sons. She finds great satisfaction in spending time with her children and hopes to work with them in the same company in the future. Enthusiastic about the trajectory that Pax8 Inc. is on, Ms. Hawkins looks forward to continuing to drive growth and improvement at the company, paving the way for the next generation. She intends to remain a revenue leader at Pax8 and any other companies she might work at in the future, while also boosting her knowledge of new strategies and technology solutions such as artificial intelligence.
