The company is affiliated with Cartes, a Paris-based leader in plastic card manufacturing, and maintains rigorous industry standards through ISO 9000 certification, card quality management certification and payment card industry certification. Apart from his role at Protec Secure Card, Mr. Mejia has served as the president of Product Technology Corporation, a part of The Procard Group, since 1992. Over more than three decades, he built the business into a respected entity within the sales and distribution of consumables and equipment for the plastic card industry across North and South America. Mr. Mejia’s expertise in security cards, equipment and materials has been widely acknowledged, earning him recognition as an industry expert.
Mr. Mejia also co-owns ProCard Tape, a prominent U.S.-based producer of overlays with magnetic stripes distributed throughout the card manufacturing sector. His extensive experience has enabled him to forge strong relationships with top manufacturers of materials used in both plastic and paper card production.
Mr. Mejia’s academic background includes long-term study at both the University of Massachusetts and Harvard University. The knowledge gained from these institutions has played a significant role in shaping his approach to business leadership and innovation within the industry.
