Sandeep K. Jangiti, MBA, Director of Quality for the U.S. at Nyxoah, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Quality Engineering.
Mr. Jangiti is a respected leader in quality engineering with a career marked by progressive leadership roles and significant contributions to the medical device industry. Currently, he serves as the director of quality for Nyxoah in Atlanta, Georgia. Based in Belgium, the medical technology company develops breakthrough treatment alternatives for obstructive sleep apnea. In Mr. Jangiti’s role, he is responsible for the entire quality function across the U.S., Belgium and Israel.
Following the departure of the company’s chief quality and regulatory officer, Mr. Jangiti was appointed as the interim head of quality at the request of the chief executive officer. In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of quality engineering, including supplier quality, new product development and quality management systems, while also providing partial oversight of regulatory functions. Mr. Jangiti also collaborates closely with cross-functional leaders to align with Nyxoah’s strategic vision and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable products to market.
Before joining Nyxoah in 2024, Mr. Jangiti held several key positions at Becton Dickinson (BD) and Steris. As the associate director of quality engineering at BD in Atlanta from 2022 to 2024, he played a pivotal role in leading the divestiture of the surgical instrumentation business unit from BD to Steris. After the transition, Mr. Jangiti remained with Steris for over a year, managing end-to-end quality processes for a portfolio exceeding 17,000 surgical instruments, including legacy products from V. Mueller. His responsibilities encompassed supplier quality, design quality, sustaining quality and compliance.
Beginning his business venture with BD in Covington, Georgia, Mr. Jangiti was a quality engineering manager for the company’s Bard division from 2019 to 2021. As such, he supervised products used in endourology, such as baskets, stents, lasers, urinary bags and catheters. Subsequently, Mr. Jangiti was named a senior quality manager at BD in Vernon Hills, Illinois, where he oversaw surgical instrumentation businesses and managed comprehensive quality functions until 2021.
Mr. Jangiti’s earlier career was shaped by nearly a decade at Medtronic in Jacksonville, Florida. He began as an intern in 2010 while completing his graduate studies and advanced through roles, including associate quality engineer, new product development quality engineer, senior quality engineer for new product development, principal quality engineer, and engineering manager for pre-market quality and reliability engineering. At Medtronic, Mr. Jangiti contributed significantly to projects involving nerve integrity monitors and sinus-related power tools within the ear, nose and throat division. Notably, he played a key role in developing the PCoI sinus device, a high-speed tool designed to alleviate chronic sinus pressure, and led both new product development and reliability engineering teams.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Mr. Jangiti has found success as an entrepreneur. As the co-owner of a local fusion Indian restaurant in Georgia that he established with friends, he offers a variety of multi-cuisine dishes to clientele, which have been well-received.
Mr. Jangiti’s academic background includes the completion of a Bachelor of Technology in electrical engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India, in 2008, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville in 2011, and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on international marketing and finance from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2019. Mr. Jangiti also holds several professional designations that underscore his technical proficiency, including certification as a DRM black belt through Medtronic, an AAMI human factors certification from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, and a certified reliability engineer credential from the American Society for Quality.
Adding to his industry expertise, Mr. Jangiti’s professional affiliation as a member of the American Society for Quality reflects his commitment to advancing industry standards. He is also a former vice president of the University of North Florida chapter of the Osprey South Asian Association. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Jangiti is civically engaged through involvement with local food network organizations that provide meals to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jangiti has demonstrated exceptional expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments. Among his most notable accomplishments, he successfully led eight global United States Food and Drug Administration inspections with full compliance and transformed paper-based quality management systems into electronic platforms. Mr. Jangiti’s efforts have been recognized with several awards, including the Chicago on Fire Leadership Award for driving revenue impact through improved compliance and reduced product complaints, the Peer Recognition Award from BD for identifying organizational gaps and proactively leading compliance improvement projects, and the Technical Contributor of the Year from Medtronic.
Mr. Jangiti remains committed to advancing patient safety and global compliance within health care technology.
