With 25 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Kramer has distinguished herself as an expert in public relations, with a career marked by significant leadership roles, industry recognition and a commitment to service. Since 2023, she has excelled as senior public relations manager at the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, a position in which she develops and manages strategic global communications initiatives. Ms. Kramer leads a team of social media experts and oversees crisis communications worldwide, ensuring that external communication strategies align with the organization’s brand positioning and thought leadership objectives. 

In her current role, Ms. Kramer works closely with the chief executive officer, chief communications team and other leaders to craft speeches, ghostwrite for executives and manage board relations, including delivering presentations on behalf of the organization. She has also launched the AMP Ambassador program, which she anticipates will see substantial growth as she expands the organization’s digital presence in markets such as India, China and Brazil.

Prior to joining the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, Ms. Kramer served as senior strategic communications manager at SOPREMA USA from 2020 to 2022. In this capacity, she was responsible for developing comprehensive communication strategies that elevated the company’s profile within the industry. Her tenure at SOPREMA USA began in 2019 as senior content strategist, where she led content development efforts that supported marketing and public relations campaigns.

From 2007 to 2019, Ms. Kramer found success as the president of Kramer Integrated Communications LLC, where she provided strategic communications consulting services to a diverse client base. Her expertise in public relations, marketing and media relations enabled her to deliver tailored solutions that enhanced clients’ reputations and market reach.

During this time, Ms. Kramer’s academic affiliations include working as the director of public relations and marketing communications at the School of Communication Studies at Kent State University from 2017 to 2018 and the director of public relations and marketing communications at the College of Communication and Information from 2010 to 2017. She contributed significantly to both institutions by managing communication strategies that promoted academic programs and faculty achievements. Her commitment to education extended into teaching roles as adjunct instructor at the College of Communication and Information from 2012 to 2014 and at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication from 2009 to 2013 at Kent State University. Additionally, Ms. Kramer managed public relations and marketing for Kent State University from 2008 to 2010.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Kramer gained valuable experience as a loaned executive in resource development for United Way of Summit County from 2000 to 2001 and as community relations assistant for United Disability Services during the same period. She began her career in corporate communications at ADT in 2000 after completing a public relations internship at Akron Children’s Hospital from 1999 to 2000. Throughout her career, Ms. Kramer has contributed to several notable projects, including serving as a contributor to the College of Communication and Information website and its eleven subsites from 2012 to 2018, as well as co-authoring content for the KSU/JMC/Poynter Media Ethics Workshop website from 2009 to 2015.

Ms. Kramer’s professional affiliations reflect her dedication to advancing the field of public relations. She has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America through its Akron Area and Cleveland chapters since 2000. She was likewise active with the Akron Press Club from 2013 to 2018, The Press Club of Cleveland from 2012 to 2018 and the Association for Materials Protection and Performance in 2024.

Ms. Kramer’s educational background laid a strong foundation for her achievements. She notably earned a Bachelor of Science in public relations, marketing and business from Kent State University in Kent Ohio in 2000. She subsequently pursued coursework toward a Master of Business Administration, further enhancing her business acumen. Ms. Kramer’s commitment to professional development is demonstrated by numerous certifications, including her accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America in 2009, her certification in organizational leadership through AMPP: Institute for Excellence at Kent State University in 2015, a certificate in external communication skills for leaders from LinkedIn in 2024, and her certificate in diversity equity and inclusion from the University of South Florida, among others.

Ms. Kramer attributes her success to her introverted nature and strong belief in teamwork over self-promotion. Preferring to support others behind the scenes, she consistently credits her team when recognized—an approach that has fostered collaborative relationships throughout her career.

Ms. Kramer’s introduction to public relations began during high school when she partnered with her father on marathon fundraising efforts for leukemia research through Team in Training with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Writing press releases for local newspapers during this time further inspired her pursuit of a career dedicated to service-driven communication.

Ms. Kramer’s civic engagement is extensive. She has volunteered as a fundraising volunteer with Lifebanc since 2018, served as chairperson for the East Central District Public Relations Society of America since 2021, volunteered with When We All Vote from 2018 to 2019 and Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio from 2017 to 2019. As chairperson for PRSA Akron’s YouToo Social Media Conference from 2007 to 2017, Ms. Kramer played a pivotal role in advancing digital communication education locally.

Ms. Kramer also directed media public relations and event planning for Cleveland’s Got Sole—a family-founded charity—from 2008 to 2018. The aforementioned organization raises funds through sneaker shows supporting local children’s charities across the United States while also sending cash donations and shoes abroad, particularly benefiting communities in Guatemala where her daughter was born. Her philanthropic work extends further through service as treasurer for Northeast Ohio Guatemalan Adoptive Families Inc. from 2007 to 2015, chairing class reunions for Stow-Munroe Falls High School alumni events between 2006 and 2007 and tutoring literacy students at Project Learn of Summit County from 2001 to 2006.

Ms. Kramer’s contributions to her field and beyond have been recognized with numerous accolades including a lifetime achievement award—the inaugural Legacy of Leadership Award—from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Award of Merit for Social Media by East Central District of the PRSA in 2024, the Greater Cleveland Rocks Award from the PRSA in 2024 and The Lighthouse-Duke Award by Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America in 2024. A two-time recipient of SOPREMA’s Seven-Star Service Award, she was also recognized in the AMPP Annual Conference Keynote ‘Hype’ Video at the GDUSA Digital Design Awards in 2025 and featured among the “30 for the Future” by the Greater Akron Chamber in 2016. Moreover, Ms. Kramer has been celebrated with various awards from SOPREMA, the Akron Area and Kent State chapters of the PRSA, Kent State University, and the Akron Advertising Federation between 2008 and 2021.

Ms. Kramer’s creative endeavors includes serving as a copyeditor for Jargon Magazine, published by Kent State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as co-authoring content for VCD Alumni Magazine produced by the School of Visual Communication Design. Outside of her primary activities, she is happy to collaborate with her family to continue their philanthropic mission through Cleveland’s Got Sole, which organizes events that benefit children locally while extending support internationally.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Kramer remains focused on expanding her professional network within public relations while deepening her expertise—particularly regarding advancements such as artificial intelligence—and pursuing ongoing educational opportunities that will support continued growth within her organization.
