Kelly Geiger, Head of Change Management at KPMG, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Change Management and Digital Human Resources.

Ms. Geiger has established a distinguished career in change management and digital human resources, marked by adaptability, innovation and a commitment to lifelong learning. Over the past decade, she has served as head of the change management office and change, digital human resources (HR), at KPMG, a global organization of independent professional services firms, in New York City, beginning in 2021. In this capacity, Ms. Geiger has demonstrated expertise in the Digital HR Center of Excellence, guiding organizational transformation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Before her current position, Ms. Geiger was the associate director of global business enablement change and deployment at KPMG in 2021. Earlier, she held the role of manager of change and deployment from 2016 to 2021, where she played a pivotal part in implementing strategic initiatives and supporting large-scale change efforts across the organization.

Before joining KPMG, Ms. Geiger was an implementation manager at UL PureSafety, a global leader in applied safety science based in Illinois, from 2010 to 2014. In this role, she managed complex software deployments and provided customized occupational health software solutions for clients. Earlier, Ms. Geiger was a senior consultant at Acumen Solutions, now part of Salesforce, between 2006 and 2009, where she specialized in Salesforce and other software solutions.

A defining moment in Ms. Geiger’s professional journey occurred after her tenure at the now-defunct insurance broker Johnson & Higgins, when she transitioned from insurance brokerage to information technology training in New York. Following a transformative trip to France, she founded her own limited liability company training firm from 2002 to 2004. This entrepreneurial venture enabled Ms. Geiger to secure major clients, such as BP and Arco, and led to connections with Salesforce.com, where she became a certified Salesforce implementer. Her experience also included work with Blue Wolf Group, now part of IBM.

Ms. Geiger’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, earned in 1992. She has also pursued extensive continuing education and certifications since 2001, which have contributed significantly to her expertise. Among them, Ms. Geiger received credentials as a certified facilitator from Franklin Covey, a Prosci® certified change practitioner from Prosci Inc., an executive leadership program certificate and a performance leadership program certificate from Cornell University, and, among others, an artificial intelligence (AI) change management for HR designation from the Academy to Innovate HR.

Committed to professional development, Ms. Geiger has maintained active participation in industry organizations. She has served as a community impact committee member for the communications pillar at KPMG since 2021, after previously serving as a member of the global people virtual wellbeing committee from 2022 to 2023. Additionally, Ms. Geiger maintains membership with Prosci Inc., reflecting her dedication to best practices in change management.

Ms. Geiger’s civic engagement includes volunteering with Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland since 2020 and serving as an advisory council member for the opt-in research community of business professionals with Harvard Business Review since 2024. She has also participated in fundraising efforts for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training initiative and has been involved with KPMG CROWN (Center for Reaching Out Women’s Network) as well as other women’s network activities.

In recognition of her leadership, Ms. Geiger’s contributions have been reflected in her role as a KPMG culture champion at the enthusiast level, the second-highest tier, underscoring her dedication to shaping positive workplace environments. She was also recognized by the organization with the Global People Stars Award for her work on the Global Career Architecture project.

Ms. Geiger attributes her success to qualities such as kindness, understanding and empathy, values shaped by personal experiences rather than formal mentorship. She has taken pride in mentoring others throughout her career, guiding colleagues through challenging transitions and celebrating their achievements. Looking ahead, Ms. Geiger intends to focus on executive coaching and AI leadership adoption. While exploring opportunities within KPMG, she remains open to establishing her own practice dedicated to coaching and consulting in change management and organizational culture, should new prospects arise elsewhere.
