In this capacity, Mr. Werner monitors market trends and leverages his extensive network to support the company’s strategic initiatives.

Leveraging his expertise, Mr. Werner’s consultancy role follows his retirement as the vice president of technical services for North America with Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc., a position he held from 2018 to 2025. During this tenure, Mr. Werner managed a staff of approximately 200 employees across the United States and Canada, overseeing follow-up sales and service operations as well as the technical training department. His team was responsible for conducting product training and authoring installation, operation and maintenance manuals.

From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Werner excelled as the director of technical services at Daikin North America under Daikin U.S. Corporation in Houston, Texas. He joined the organization after serving as the vice president and general manager at Texas Specialty Products between 2013 and 2016. Earlier in 2013, Mr. Werner was a sales manager at CE in the San Antonio metropolitan area of Texas. Before these roles, he briefly contributed to Virtual Builders Exchange, LLC, as the vice president of business development in San Antonio in 2012.

Mr. Werner’s most substantial tenure was with Trane-Hussmann and Trane-Hussmann-Ingersoll Rand, where he spent over three decades shaping his expertise and leadership style between 1981 and 2012. From 2009 to 2012, he served as a district general manager for South Texas, overseeing offices in San Antonio and Austin as well as Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley. At Trane-Hussmann-Ingersoll Rand, Mr. Werner managed a team of over 200 employees focused on commercial air conditioning systems for commercial buildings with five major revenue streams.

Between 2005 and 2009, Mr. Werner was a district manager at the San Antonio commercial sales office for Trane-Hussmann-Ingersoll Rand. From 2001 to 2005, he worked as a regional sales manager for the South Region of the United States. He previously held positions as a sales manager for integrated comfort systems and a building automation systems manager. Mr. Werner’s early career at Trane began with roles as an account executive and sales engineer.

Among Mr. Werner’s most notable accomplishments was his promotion from regional sales manager to district general manager at Trane-Hussmann-Ingersoll Rand. In this capacity, he supervised a team of 12 officers who undertook several special projects. One significant initiative involved partnering with a manufacturer to produce variable-frequency drives under their brand, a venture that grew into a business generating approximately $400 million annually. Additionally, when taking over the South Texas office, including San Antonio and Austin, Mr. Werner increased annual revenue from $50 million to $97.4 million within three years by setting clear goals for his team while empowering them with autonomy.

Mr. Werner’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Minnesota, completed in 1981, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, earned in 2000. These academic achievements provided foundational knowledge that supported his technical expertise and leadership capabilities throughout his career trajectory. Additionally, Mr. Werner holds several certifications that have further enhanced his professional standing, such as a universal refrigerant license from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and a Texas air conditioning contractors’ license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. He also completed the senior executive leaders’ program at the Center for Creative Leadership through Florida International University. Outside his industry, Mr. Werner received certified instructor status through the National Rifle Association of America and private pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Among his professional affiliations, which reflect his commitment to industry advancement, Mr. Werner is a long-standing member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Inc., supporting sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing and construction sectors. He is also a past president of the local chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers in San Antonio.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Werner has contributed extensively through civic involvement and volunteerism. Since 2017, he has served as the director of the Plantation Lakes Homeowners Association. He has also volunteered as a certified rifle instructor with the National Rifle Association of America since 1987. Previously, Mr. Werner was affiliated with such organizations as the Alamo Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America, the Hollywood Park Economic Development Corporation, the Oak Hills Country Club, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

As an author, Mr. Werner wrote “Teamwork Works,” published by The Leader through CoreNet Global in 2009. He is currently engaged in writing an autobiography titled “Perseverance,” which he is revising to enhance its narrative flow.

Mr. Werner’s work has been recognized by multiple awards, including three Pacesetter Office honors from Trane during his tenure there. He continues to distinguish himself through persistence and an unwavering pursuit of excellence, striving always to be among the professionals in his field. He credits much of his success to this philosophy, which has allowed him greater opportunities and access throughout his career. Mentorship has also played an important role in shaping Mr. Werner’s approach to leadership and personal growth.

Now semi-retired on a 45-acre ranch where he plans to raise cattle, Mr. Werner enjoys reconnecting with his agricultural roots while continuing consulting work within the industry. His legacy is defined by trustworthiness and reliability, qualities that inspire confidence among colleagues who know that any project involving him is positioned for success due to his steadfast presence and guidance.
