Title: Financial Services Consultant
Company:
ROK Financial
Location:
Cinnaminson, New Jersey, United States

Vincent Louis Girolami, Financial Services Consultant at ROK Financial, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in Metalworking.

After decades in welding and fabricating, Mr. Girolami transitioned into a new field in 2025 when he joined ROK Financial as a financial services consultant. In this remote position, he utilizes his industry knowledge to assist welders in opening their own companies and securing the financing to do so, in addition to helping them obtain funding for equipment. He manages prospecting efforts through cold calls and email outreach, leveraging the company’s credibility and marketing materials to build client trust. With no tactical sales training provided by his employers, Mr. Girolami independently studies sales techniques using online coaching resources and platforms such as LinkedIn. He is currently navigating the transition from decades in skilled trades to the competitive world of financial services, where generating leads and establishing personal credibility are essential for success. His approach is marked by adaptability as he adjusts to the distinct challenges of client acquisition and conversion in a new industry.

Before entering finance, Mr. Girolami built an extraordinary career spanning more than 40 years as a welder, fabricator and fitter. Beginning in 1972, after graduating from Burlington County Institute of Technology with a focus on welding technology, he worked for approximately 30 companies over four decades. Mr. Girolami’s upward trajectory included welder-fitter, fabricator, welder, assistant foreman and foreman. The frequent movement between employers was shaped by both personal factors and industry volatility, often driven by sudden layoffs when project workflows failed to match initial contract promises.

Mr. Girolami’s expertise encompasses nearly every type of welding except underwater welding. He is highly skilled in shielded metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding and submerged arc welding. His technical mastery extends to custom fabrication and weld fitting, structural maintenance and component fabrication for heavy construction equipment, pressure vessel welding certified to The American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards, and structural steel fabrication for machinery and precision staircases. Notably, Mr. Girolami’s specialized work constructing staircases stood out as his crowning achievement. This niche skill required advanced geometric understanding to ensure exact dimensional consistency across multistory buildings for user safety. His proficiency in this area was so rare that it routinely secured him immediate employment during job interviews with companies seeking that capability.

Throughout his career in the trades, Mr. Girolami also contributed to operational efficiency by introducing advanced welding procedures at companies unfamiliar with those methods. He interpreted complex blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate assemblies from raw steel with exacting precision, a discipline rooted in his belief that each weld should be an improvement over the last. This philosophy was guided by a commitment to doing the job right the first time rather than relying on rework or corrections later. The discipline Mr. Girolami garnered in the field has significantly contributed to his success today in financial services, as he continually strives to ensure the success of his clients.

What distinguishes Mr. Girolami among his peers is his unwavering commitment to continuous improvement. He has always maintained that there is room for learning regardless of one’s experience level. He values insights from newcomers in the field and remains open-minded about adopting new methods that can lead to better performance. For Mr. Girolami, progress is measured not by perfection but by consistent development over time.

Education has played a foundational role throughout Mr. Girolami’s life. He graduated from Burlington County Institute of Technology in Mount Holly, New Jersey, in 1972 with training in welding technology, a program that equipped him with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for success across multiple industries. He also holds Section IX certification in code welding of pressure vessels from The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. This credential underscores his technical acumen and commitment to regulated safety standards within industrial environments. Since pivoting into finance, Mr. Girolami earned credentials that have been instrumental to his ability to provide sound advice to his clients.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Girolami has served as a volunteer poll worker with the Burlington County Republican Committee, demonstrating civic engagement beyond his primary career fields. Additionally, he enjoys creating metal sculptures, a passion first explored during high school art classes but set aside for many years due to career demands. Now at a stage where he can revisit artistic endeavors, Mr. Girolami looks forward to further developing this creative outlet alongside professional responsibilities.

Looking ahead, Mr. Girolami aims to continue working part-time in financial consulting or industrial operations. He also intends to secure a second steady part-time position as a welder or lead welder. Mr. Girolami’s long-term aspiration is to transition fully into consulting, whether advancing within financial services or establishing an independent practice focused on industrial seminars, facility evaluations or advising companies on equipment upgrades and process optimization based on decades of hands-on expertise.

Throughout his journey across industries and roles, Mr. Girolami hopes to be remembered as someone determined never to take shortcuts, believing that thoroughness at every stage prevents costly failures later on. For those entering similar fields today, he offers advice grounded in experience that includes embracing risk when opportunities arise rather than letting hesitation or outside opinions hold you back, investing wisely in tools or equipment that retain value over time, and remaining open to where bold choices may lead, even if they seem uncertain at first.
