Having enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades, Mr. Peabody has established himself as a leading authority in the design and production of chemical and water storage tanks, process tanks and related equipment. His expertise extends to chemical process applications and the safe handling and storage of chemicals. Over the years, Mr. Peabody has demonstrated a remarkable ability to identify market needs and develop innovative solutions that have set new standards within the industry.
Since 2021, Mr. Peabody has served as the chief executive officer of Peabody Engineering, LLC, a plastics manufacturing company based in Liberty, South Carolina. Under his leadership, the company has experienced significant growth, tripling its business volume from 2021 to 2025 and expanding its reach to serve national and international customers across Canada, Mexico and other regions. The company is currently investing $9 million in a facility expansion that will add another 50,000 square feet to its operations. This strategic move supports an annual growth rate of 25% and positions the business to better serve approximately 2,000 customers worldwide. Mr. Peabody oversees every aspect of operations, from accounting and office administration to manufacturing, marketing, and product development, while also consulting for major accounts on product specification and application.
Mr. Peabody’s commitment to innovation is evident in his efforts to expand the company’s product line to include single- and double-walled tanks as well as specialty products tailored to evolving market demands. By designing, developing and tooling proprietary products distributed through hundreds of distributors, he has transformed what began as a small family business into an enterprise generating $15 million in annual revenue. Mr. Peabody is particularly proud of this transformation and is eager for future success.
Before establishing Peabody Engineering, LLC, Mr. Peabody led Cell Site Disguise Guys under the umbrella of Peabody Engineering, LLC, from 1996 to 2025. In this capacity, he guided the company through periods of intense competition and market change by focusing on customer-driven product development and operational efficiency.
Mr. Peabody’s career began with his official entry into his father’s business, Peabody Engineering & Supply Incorporated, now Peabody Engineering, LLC, in 1978. After acquiring the company with his brother in 1982, he navigated significant financial challenges, including embezzlement losses and economic downturns in the agricultural sector. These hardships prompted a strategic pivot away from agricultural fertilizer equipment toward plastic chemical handling solutions, a move that laid the foundation for future success. For several years, Mr. Peabody operated as a distributor before transitioning into manufacturing unique double-containment chemical tanks around 2000. By bringing molding operations in-house and expanding into new markets such as the East Coast of the United States, he ensured long-term competitiveness for the company.
Mr. Peabody’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from California State University (CSU), Dominguez Hills, in Carson, California, earned in 1982. He also completed coursework in accounting and finance at the University of Southern California as well as coursework in business administration at CSU, Chico. This academic foundation equipped Mr. Peabody with essential skills for navigating complex financial landscapes and making informed decisions that have driven sustained business growth.
Adding to his professional standing, Mr. Peabody is active within his industry as a member of the Water Environment Federation, the Association of Water Technologies, and the Association of Rotational Molders and Convene. These memberships have provided valuable opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange with peers across the manufacturing sector.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Peabody has made substantial contributions to civic organizations and community initiatives. He served as the fundraising chair and as a board member for Circle City Rotary for more than a decade, between 2012 and 2025, and was active on the board of governors for Corona Regional Medical Center from 2015 to 2020. Among other initiatives, Mr. Peabody was previously involved with Group 4 at Convene, The Foundation for Community and Family Health, and the Corona Chamber of Commerce, and was instrumental in the greeting ministries at Crossroads Christian Church for over 15 years, starting in 2003.
In addition to his leadership roles, Mr. Peabody has contributed thought leadership through authoring white papers on topics such as proper handling and storage of chemicals, as well as comparative analyses on materials used in tank construction. His achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including a Spirit of the Entrepreneur Award from CSU, San Bernardino, in 2016, a Top Workplace Award by Press Enterprise every year between 2016 and 2019, and, among other accolades, recognition as Father of the Year by the American Diabetes Association and Family Owned Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration, both in 2018.
Throughout his career, Mr. Peabody has attributed his success to patience, perseverance and attentiveness to customer needs. By listening carefully to clients and analyzing market trends, he has developed products that are both innovative and user-friendly. Mr. Peabody credits his strong Christian faith for guiding him through both prosperous times and periods of adversity, relying on prayer, trust in God and a commitment to ethical business practices.
Mr. Peabody is a fourth-generation Californian who recently relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, following the consolidation of company operations there. Looking ahead, he aims to continue building out his product line while enhancing brand recognition within domestic and international markets.
