As the co-founder and chief executive officer of Coverage Compass in San Jose, California, since June 2025, he has focused on building strategic partnerships and expanding the company’s network within the insurance industry.

Before his current role, Mr. Yararbas served as an engineering manager at Eventbrite from July 2025 to April 2026. His tenure at Uber Technologies Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, between November 2021 and March 2025 as an engineering manager was marked by his responsibility for managing insurance-related integrations between Volvo and Uber. This role deepened Mr. Yararbas’s expertise in the insurance sector and contributed significantly to his nearly three decades of experience developing comprehensive insurance solutions.
Mr. Yararbas worked for Volvo Car Corporation in Sunnyvale, California, as a senior engineering manager from August 2018 to October 2021. During this period, he led teams while remaining hands-on with technical responsibilities. Recruited from BMC Software’s TrueSight Intelligence division in Santa Clara, California, Mr. Yararbas spent February 2014 to August 2018 as a lead product developer, involved in central architecture team tasks.
Among several other progressive roles with companies like Actiance Inc., where he served as an engineering manager from January 2012 to February 2014, BMC Software Inc., Coradiant and Trilliant Holdings Inc., Mr. Yararbas also distinguished himself by early work as a solutions architect and engineering manager for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization SPX program, dating back to 2006. In this capacity, he developed software solutions and comprehensive databases for chambers of commerce in Qatar and Xi’an, China, training staff members and supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises in emerging markets. Mr. Yararbas also co-founded JFORCE Information Technologies in Turkey in 2003, where he served as an engineering manager until 2008.
Mr. Yararbas’s educational foundation includes a Computer Engineering Certificate from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Türkiye. He also completed a Bachelor of Arts in law and management at the Turkish Military Academy, an experience that broadened his analytical skills and contributed to his multidisciplinary approach throughout his career. To remain current with evolving technologies, Mr. Yararbas pursued additional education that has enhanced his leadership capabilities and technical acumen. His most recent credentials include Balanced Scorecard and Key Performance Indicators, Skip-Level Meetings, Project Management Foundations: Requirements, Creating a High-Performance Culture, Working with High-Conflict People as a Manager, and Leadership Foundations courses, an Operations Research & Systems Analytics (ORSA) Certificate from the Logistics Management College, as well as Sun Certified Java Programmer and Sun Certified Web Component Developer designations.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Yararbas is civically engaged as a volunteer with various libraries, a reflection of his commitment to lifelong learning and community service. His patents include a recent provisional patent application for a new invention filed with the USPTO: Semantic Layer for Reliable Artificial Intelligence Using an Ontology-Grounded Knowledge Graph with Privacy-Preserving Entity Matching and Validity-Period-Partitioned Storage (App. No. 64/104,709, filed July 3, 2026, with Joakim Soederberg), a Heuristic Evaluation System for Electric Vehicle Navigation and Charging Optimization (US 12,169,133 B2, granted Dec 17, 2024, with Jon Seneger and Amir Karim Esfahani), Keyword-Object Taxonomy Generation and Utilization for Semantic Search (US 11,966,427 B2, granted Apr 23, 2024, with Jon Martin Seneger and Miren Soni), Computerized Smart Inventory Search Methods (US 11,709,844 B2, granted Jul 25, 2023), and an Enhanced Search Architecture Optimizing Classification and Tagging Operations (US 12,141,391 B2, granted Mar 12, 2024).
