Mr. Ratnapuri’s career reflects a remarkable journey through technology and social innovation. Since 2025, he has served as a social impact architect at Collective Global Impact, a nonprofit organization he founded with close friends from his undergraduate studies and professional career. The organization is dedicated to holistic education for children and operates as a volunteer-based group of 10 individuals. Mr. Ratnapuri and his wife are the primary contributors, self-funding operations and ensuring that all donations go directly to project initiatives. Under his leadership, the organization collaborates with other nonprofits and leverages technical expertise, including AI, to develop innovative solutions for complex societal challenges.
At Collective Global Impact, Mr. Ratnapuri is focused on exploring and implementing holistic educational models that address neurodiversity, socioeconomic diversity and nonacademic skills, such as emotional intelligence. He leads efforts to bring together nonprofits and experts to design integrated frameworks for child development. The organization’s work includes partnerships with programs like TTT in Tamil Nadu, India, which provides after-school support for children. Before founding Collective Global Impact, Mr. Ratnapuri co-founded Enquizit, Inc., specializing in information technology services and consulting. For 10 years, between 2002 and 2012, he served as the company’s president, working alongside his wife. Having established the company with a focus on advancing worthwhile causes rather than financial gain, Mr. Ratnapuri has been involved with several notable projects, including the Common App for streamlining college applications for students nationwide, Login.gov for secure government access and SBA Certified to help small businesses obtain certification. Enquizit, Inc., also contributed significantly to cloud transformations at major universities such as Harvard University, The Wharton School and New York University, in addition to modernizing mission-critical systems for agencies like the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
From 2012 to 2025, Mr. Ratnapuri served as Enquizit’s chief executive officer. He played a pivotal role in guiding the company through its transition after its acquisition by CDW in 2023. He remained involved until he retired from the information technology sector in June 2025. Mr. Ratnapuri’s tenure with the organization was marked by a steadfast commitment to using technology as a force for good. The company operated without external investment or loans, maintaining full autonomy to pursue projects aligned with its mission of benefiting society.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Ratnapuri held the position of vice president of software service at OPNET (now Riverbed Technology LLC) from 1996 to 2002. His responsibilities included overseeing software service operations during a period of rapid technological advancement. Mr. Ratnapuri began his professional journey in 1992 as a software engineer at API, where he developed foundational skills in system design and engineering.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ratnapuri has demonstrated expertise in neurodiversity, socioeconomic diversity and nonacademic skills, including emotional intelligence, cloud transformations, machine learning and AI. He also became fluent in agile software development, DevOps and continuous integration, strategic analysis and planning, full-life cycle system design and development, and, among other areas, system integration. Achieving such breadth of knowledge is a testament to Mr. Ratnapuri’s commitment to lifelong learning and excellence.
Mr. Ratnapuri’s academic background laid the groundwork for his multifaceted career. He earned a bachelor’s degree in instrumentation and control engineering at Bharathiar University in India in 1990 and a master’s degree in computer engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1992. These academic achievements provided him with both technical acumen and analytical skills essential for addressing complex challenges across industries. Mr. Ratnapuri also holds several AWS cloud certifications that have supported his work in cloud migration and application modernization. These skills proved invaluable during his leadership at Enquizit, Inc., and continue to inform his current initiatives at Collective Global Impact.
Civic engagement has been a constant theme throughout Mr. Ratnapuri’s life. He currently volunteers with Social Venture Partners International while mentoring small businesses in Washington, D.C. As an accomplished Indian classical singer who has studied music for nearly two decades, he regularly performs at annual fundraising events supporting various nonprofit organizations since the early 2000s.
Mr. Ratnapuri’s scholarly contributions include co-authoring “On the Power of Segmenting and Fusing Buses,” which was presented at the Seventh International Parallel Processing Symposium in Newport Beach, California. He also published “Sorting on Reconfigurable Multiple Bus Machines” at the 36th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems in Detroit, Michigan.
The ability to analyze problems deeply, asking “why” until reaching root causes, has been central to Mr. Ratnapuri’s approach throughout his career. He excels not only at identifying what needs to be done but also at assembling teams with complementary strengths who can deliver effective solutions together. His decision to transition into the nonprofit sector followed the successful sale of Enquizit, Inc., after achieving all original goals set when founding the company in 2002. Reflecting on this milestone prompted Mr. Ratnapuri to consider how best to apply his strengths to unresolved societal issues where many organizations operate independently rather than collaboratively.
Mr. Ratnapuri credits much of his success to influential mentors encountered during his educational journey. His faculty adviser at Louisiana State University shaped his problem-solving mindset while one of his professors from India deepened his understanding of society’s complexities and technology’s role within it.
Looking ahead at Collective Global Impact’s future direction under Mr. Ratnapuri’s guidance, the organization aims to implement holistic development approaches across all initiatives it pursues while developing scalable blueprints that can be adopted worldwide by other organizations seeking well-rounded educational outcomes for children regardless of background or circumstance.
