Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Akintunde held several roles that shaped his expertise in technical operations, manufacturing process sciences and quality assurance. From 2019 to 2025 at Minaris Advanced Therapies, LLC, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he contributed to technical operations supporting advanced therapies. Between 2016 and 2019 at WuXi AppTec in Philadelphia, Mr. Akintunde provided technical oversight for six cell and gene therapy programs as a process steward for allogeneic and autologous CAR-T processes while supporting technology transfer and process scale-up initiatives.
At CSL Seqirus in Holly Springs, North Carolina, from 2015 to 2016 and Medtronic in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, between 2013 and 2015, Mr. Akintunde served in quality assurance roles. Some of his earlier experiences included working in manufacturing process sciences at ImClone Systems Inc. (now Lilly USA, LLC) in Branchburg, New Jersey, in 2012, in process excellence at LifeCell Corporation (now AbbVie Inc.), also in Branchburg, from 2011 to 2012, and in manufacturing at Dendreon Corporation (now Novartis AG) in Morris Plains, New Jersey, between 2009 and 2011. Notably, at Dendreon Corporation, Mr. Akintunde supported senior management in completing GMP activities for Provenge (Sipuleucel-T), the first Food and Drug Administration-approved cell-based cancer immunotherapy for prostate cancer.
Mr. Akintunde’s academic achievements have played a pivotal role in shaping his career trajectory. He completed a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from Kean University and a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from The Pennsylvania State University. Notably, he received several accolades and scholarships throughout his studies to support his education. In addition to academic credentials, Mr. Akintunde holds professional certifications, including Six Sigma methodology and diversity, equity and inclusion training.
A member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, Mr. Akintunde’s professional affiliations reflect his ongoing commitment to industry advancement. He also remains active with Beta Gamma Sigma and holds membership with The Society of 40 Men and 8 Horses.
