Mr. Beukelaer’s career is distinguished by his expertise in forensic analysis and litigation support. Since 2023, he has served as a senior consultant on the forensic litigation team at Grassi Advisory Group in Jericho, New York. In this capacity, he leads forensic analyses for 10 to 12 litigation engagements at any given time and transforms complex documents into Excel datasets to support expert reports, court proceedings and client resolutions. Mr. Beukelaer also directs small teams in data organization and investigation processes, enhancing efficiency and collaboration on high-stakes forensic matters.
Currently supporting data analysis for a high-profile New York attorney general investigation involving tax evasion, Mr. Beukelaer is overseeing a $275 million construction project with a focus on cost analysis and risk monitoring. He is also advising chief financial officers on cash flow and debt strategies to help organizations navigate bankruptcy.
Mr. Beukelaer initially joined Grassi in 2021 as an associate consultant, then became a semi-senior consultant from 2022 to 2023. His progression within the firm reflects his commitment to excellence and his ability to deliver results in complex financial investigations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Beukelaer worked as a field sales and marketing representative for Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. in Hempstead, New York, from 2020 to 2021. There, he promoted tool brands to contractors at The Home Depot locations during a challenging period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before graduating from college, Mr. Beukelaer held several diverse roles, including five years as a summer camp counselor at Long Island Child Care Center in Coram, New York, starting in 2015. He also excelled as an associate buyer for CollectorsWatches in Lynbrook, New York, from 2016 to 2018. Mr. Beukelaer’s earliest professional experience included working in retail as a sales associate with Abercrombie & Fitch from 2014 to 2018.
Mr. Beukelaer’s academic foundation included earning a Bachelor of Science in financial economics from Harpur College at Binghamton University, State University of New York, in 2019 and a Master of Business Administration in business analytics and supply chain management from the School of Management at the university the following year. During his university years, he was actively involved with the Data Science and Analytics Club on campus from 2018 to 2020. He previously served as mediator for the Epsilon Nu chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi between 2016 and 2020 and contributed to the professional outreach committee of Ascend’s Binghamton chapter from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, Mr. Beukelaer gained exposure as an intern at TruNeed and as a management trainee intern with Enterprise Holdings in Centereach.
In addition to his degrees, Mr. Beukelaer’s technical proficiency has spanned studies in advanced Microsoft Office, including financial modeling and data transformation for Excel, as well as QuickBooks, Datasnipper for document analysis, Python, R-Studio and much more. Achieving mastery across such a broad spectrum of tools and methodologies is a testament to his dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Beukelaer has maintained a strong commitment to civic engagement through volunteer roles with several organizations over the years. He participated in Grassi Gives Back Day from 2021 through 2026 as part of the firm’s community outreach initiatives. Earlier volunteer efforts included serving The Salvation Army National Headquarters in Binghamton between 2015 and 2017 and volunteering with Long Island Child Care Services from 2011 to 2013.
Throughout his career thus far, Mr. Beukelaer has demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, an attribute that sets him apart in forensic work where subtle clues can have significant implications. He is recognized for his innate ability to notice details others might overlook and for his strong drive rooted in a lifelong passion for solving puzzles. These qualities have enabled Mr. Beukelaer to achieve notable milestones, such as uncovering a four percent overcharge on general conditions during a major construction project, a discovery that resulted in savings of several million dollars, and identifying underreported taxes for a group of restaurants that led to the recovery of $1.8 million.
Mr. Beukelaer attributes much of his success to lessons learned from his upbringing and values imparted by teachers throughout his education. Rather than relying on a single mentor during his career journey, he has sought wisdom from all those around him, including colleagues at every level as well as children encountered through volunteer activities or personal life experiences.
Looking ahead, Mr. Beukelaer aims to advance further within forensic litigation by attaining managerial or principal positions within the field. He also aspires to become recognized as an indispensable resource whom colleagues seek out for expertise on complex cases or valuation services.
