Michael F. Money, Senior Director at Protiviti, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in information security and privacy.
As a child, Mr. Money remembers having one of the first Apple computers. He recognized how powerful it could be in transforming the way we live, and, as he grew up, he began to understand the importance of computers in the business world. His interest in information systems and their protection led him to major in technology at Fairfield University. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science before going on to earn a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in technology from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. In the years following his graduation, Mr. Money was certified as an information systems auditor, a qualified security assessor, an information privacy professional, information system security professional and a third party risk professional.
In the early 1980’s, Mr. Money began his quest for professional success by working with KPMG, Chase Manhattan Bank and as an information security manager and information systems audit manager for Union Carbide Corporation. He remained at Union Carbide until 1998, which is when he relocated to SRI Consulting and dot com powerhouse AtomicTangerene and RedSiren as a principal consultant. He joined Protiviti’s security and privacy practice in 2004. Mr. Money’s current position is that of the senior director at Protiviti.
With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Money has become widely respected in his field and found success as an author of numerous professional publications. Further, he has found joy in sharing his experiences and educating others by speaking frequently at industry conferences and on the job. In the future, he looks forward to continuing to excel in the information security industry. He hopes to continue to grow his subject matter expertise, as well as his leadership skills.
