Sharron E. Liggins-Rogers, EdD, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Liggins and Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Ms. Liggins-Rogers started her journey to success by pursuing a career in nursing. In 1965, she earned a Diploma of Nursing from the St. Margaret Hospital School of Nursing. Shortly thereafter, she was certified as a registered nurse in the state of Indiana. From 1965 until 2003, Ms. Liggins-Rogers excelled as a nurse, in which she worked with numerous medical institutions including Methodist Hospital, St. Catherine’s Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center. Passionate about furthering her education, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Purdue University in 1981 and a Master of Science in health administration from the University Notre Dame in 1985. Later, in 2013, Ms. Liggins-Rogers acquired a Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana Dabney University, as well as a Doctor of Education in organizational leadership from the Argosy University School of Business and Management in 2015.
While Ms. Liggins-Rogers thoroughly enjoyed her career in nursing, she began to feel a calling to pursue other paths. She had always been interested in law, which drove her to become a lawyer. In 1998, after attaining the necessary credentials, she began working as the founder and chief executive officer of Liggins and Associates. Building off her experience in this role, she was able to become the consulting executive director for the Continuum of Care Network of Northwest Indiana in 2003. Ms. Liggins-Rogers continues to uphold these positions today. Reflecting on her illustrious career, she considers the highlight of her work to be her experience in providing housing units to the homeless. Seeing the look of joy on their faces in an inimitable experience. Looking toward the future, Ms. Liggins-Rogers will continue working for as long as possible. As a testament to her success, she is featured in the fifth edition of Who’s Who in American Nursing.
