Mr. Rodriguez stands at the forefront of healthcare innovation as the chief executive officer of Woundtech, a clinical organization dedicated to ensuring that geography does not determine access to care. Since 2023, he has managed a global workforce of more than 400 employees, including 12 direct reports and over 415 staff members worldwide. Mr. Rodriguez’s leadership encompasses every facet of the business, including overseeing care delivery, clinical operations, technology enablement tools, product development and financial sustainability.
Under Mr. Rodriguez’s guidance, Woundtech delivers advanced wound care directly into patients’ homes, skilled nursing facilities and even to those who are unhoused. The organization’s mission is to reach medically complex individuals often overlooked by traditional health systems and provide life-saving interventions that prevent limb loss and halt the spread of sepsis.
A defining element of Mr. Rodriguez’s career is his expertise in value-based and care delivery healthcare. He is lauded for his ability to diagnose operational challenges with the precision of a clinician and restore organizational function from within. Notably, Mr. Rodriguez’s professional journey has been shaped by personal experiences with healthcare’s shortcomings. These losses instilled in him a relentless drive to expand access and improve outcomes for forgotten patients. These convictions have led him to serve as a turnaround specialist for organizations with strong purpose but struggling execution.
Before his work at Woundtech, Mr. Rodriguez served as the president of CenterWell Senior Primary Care, Humana’s primary care platform, in Florida from 2021 to 2023. In this capacity, he led large-scale primary care operations for Humana’s primary care division across the United States and contributed directly to CenterWell’s national expansion strategy.
Between 2019 and 2021, Mr. Rodriguez held the role of market vice president and chief operating officer at FPG-Humana Florida for CenterWell Senior Primary Care. There, he was responsible for operational leadership and market growth during a period marked by regulatory shifts and the unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Rodriguez navigated these disruptions by transitioning 70% of his workforce to remote work while maintaining engagement across a culturally diverse team.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Rodriguez spent more than a decade at AXM Medical in Puerto Rico as the vice president of operations and market development from 2005 to 2019. This experience provided him with firsthand insight into markets where access gaps are wide, and the consequences of neglect are visible. It was here that Mr. Rodriguez developed the clinical and operational foundation that would define his approach to healthcare delivery.
In addition to his executive roles, Mr. Rodriguez served as the co-chair of the Hispanic Network Resource Group at Humana from 2019 to 2023, advocating for diversity and inclusion within one of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations. He has also contributed as a board member for nonprofit organizations in Puerto Rico.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Rodriguez obtained a Master of Health Administration at Walden University in 2015 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 2025. He continued his professional development by acquiring several credentials, including from the American Heart Association as a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act safety compliance officer, Lean Six Sigma Foundations certification, and Ken Blanchard on Servant Leadership certification.
Mr. Rodriguez maintains active membership in several industry-related organizations that underscore his commitment to professional growth and service. He has been affiliated with the National Society of Leadership and Success at his alma mater, the University of Puerto Rico, since 2025. Additionally, Mr. Rodriguez is active with the Florida chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, the American College of Healthcare Executives and, among others, the American Heart Association.
Civic engagement remains integral to Mr. Rodriguez’s life outside corporate leadership roles. Since 2002, he has volunteered at burn and orthopedic clinics operated by Shriners of America across Puerto Rico and the United States, a commitment that has deepened his understanding of community needs while reinforcing his dedication to accessible care delivery models. Mr. Rodriguez’s service extends to board positions with nonprofit organizations supporting youth sports programs throughout Puerto Rico.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rodriguez has been recognized with numerous awards reflecting his impact on the industry. These honors have included a Young Entrepreneur accolade from CBPR in 2016, a North Star Award from Humana between 2019 and 2020, a Prism Award as a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Champion from WTWH Healthcare in 2025 and, among others, an Exceptional Senior Careerist Award from the Central Florida chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2026. Mr. Rodriguez credits much of his success to an unwavering resolve, a relentless determination that refuses defeat, and an ability to balance logical reasoning with emotional awareness.
Mr. Rodriguez’s approach to leadership is deeply informed by personal loss and hard seasons that taught patience for complexity, urgency for what matters most and belief in investing early in people rather than waiting for results on paper. For him, communities served and teams entrusted with their energy are central to building something meaningful.
Looking ahead, Mr. Rodriguez envisions leading or building systems that fundamentally change how care reaches people at scale, whether running a large care delivery network or shaping its supporting infrastructure, with access as his guiding principle. His ultimate goal is to enable patients to live longer, healthier lives by delivering timely care regardless of location or circumstance, fostering systems designed around patient needs rather than institutional limitations.
