Having accumulated over 40 years of experience, Mr. Hayberger has excelled as the director of Leadership Erie County since 2012, specializing in recruiting and mentoring rising leaders in his community. Adjacent to his primary duties, he has also worked extensively in the field of education, having previously served as a sixth grade teacher at Sandusky City Schools for 34 years and as a supervisor at Ashland University and Lorain County Community College from 2018 to 2022. He also found a wealth of success working as a realtor for Hoty Enterprises LLC for 42 years. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Hayberger pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Science at Bowling Green State University and a Master of Education at Cambridge College.
In his civic-minded pursuits, Mr. Hayberger remains affiliated with The Salvation Army as a board member and active volunteer, and he formerly served as a board member of Firelands Positive People and the Volunteer Center of Erie County. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he has been honored with several accolades over the course of his career, including the Chairman’s Award from the Erie County Chamber of Commerce in 2019, a Distinguished Leader Award from Leadership Erie County, and Men of Excellence Award from the Volunteer Center of Erie County.
