She originally began her career as a substitute library clerk, and she has also worked as a newspaper reporter and music teacher. Adjacent to her primary duties as an educator, Ms. Pacino also dedicated herself to civic advocacy, serving as a board member of the Foundation of Batavia High School and the Batavia Business Improvement District, in addition to participating in numerous charitable events.

Ms. Pacino pursued her own formal education at the State University of New York at Potsdam, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. To commemorate her achievements in the field, she was previously honored as a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Western New York in 2018, as the Zontian of the Year in 2017, and as the Kiwanian of the Year in 2007. Attributing much of her success to her ability to develop positive relationships with others, Ms. Pacino is most notably proud of her work in helping one particular student enter the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
