With more than 15 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Van Calster is a proven expert in the food industry. Since 2015, he has served as the owner of ATX Jerky, based in Austin, Texas. He originally began his ventures in creating jerky in 2002 alongside his father, and after moving to Austin, he decided to begin a proper business with some of his new neighbors. ATX Jerky currently thrives in various local artisan and farmer’s markets, where Mr. Van Calster and his colleagues proudly deliver their unique homemade jerky to their customers.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Van Calster pursued a formal education. Having long been an avid gamer, he studied game design, development and art at the University of Wisconsin–Stout, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013. As part of his dedication to his professional endeavors, he also remains affiliated with the Elgin Chamber of Commerce. In light of his professional accomplishments, Mr. Van Calster was featured on “Good Day Austin,” as part of the Fox 7 Austin. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to the quality of his product, as well as his dedication to his work.
