Dwight Tillery, attorney at CincyConnections LLC and former mayor of the City of Cincinnati, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in law and public service.

With over 50 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Tillery has excelled as an attorney at CincyConnections LLC and as the former mayor of the City of Cincinnati, Ohio, from 1991 to 1993. He began his career in Cincinnati as an assistant solicitor from 1973 to 1974 and as a consultant from 1980 to 1982. He established himself as a partner at Tillery & Associates from 1977 to 1983. At the University of Cincinnati, he contributed as an assistant executive vice president from 1974 to 1977 and as an adjunct assistant professor of law from 1975 to 1977.

Mr. Tillery continued his career as a consultant for the University of Cincinnati Law School from 1977 to 1978. He was active as senior assistant to the Attorney General of the State of Ohio from 1983 to 1985. He found success as a consultant for the Office of the Attorney General and as an assistant professor of business law at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, since 1985.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Tillery pursued an education at the University of Cincinnati where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1970. He continued his academic efforts at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1972. He has been licensed to practice law by the State of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Tillery has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He founded the Black Agenda, Closing the Health Gap of Greater Cincinnati, and the Grassroots Leadership Academy. He held the role of vice chairman of the Cincinnati Human Rights Commission. He served on the Cincinnati Board of Health, as a council member of the Cincinnati City Council, and as a delegate for the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference. He was a member of the Off-Campus Housing Committee of the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Tillery remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and was a founding member of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and named one of the Outstanding Young Men in America in 1978.
