With over four decades of experience in real estate, Mr. DeClark currently serves as the senior managing director at the Chicago Metropolitan Office for Valbridge Property Advisors®, the largest independent commercial property valuation and advisory services firm in the U.S., since 2017. Before this role, he held esteemed positions such as senior vice president at Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis and president and chief executive officer of Realty Consultants, USA, Inc. He also served as managing director at Integra Realty Resources, where he made significant contributions to the Chicago area’s real estate landscape.
A recipient of the Herman O. Walther Award from the Chicago Chapter of the Appraisal Institute in 1998, Mr. DeClark’s contributions to the real estate industry have been widely recognized and celebrated. His success can be attributed to his exceptional listening skills and genuine passion for his work. His career highlights include tenure as assistant vice president at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Appraisal Services, Inc., where he honed his expertise in real estate appraisal and valuation. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in professional organizations, serving as the council president and economic development director at Bethel United Church of Christ and holding leadership positions in esteemed associations such as the Counselors of Real Estate and the Appraisal Institute.
Looking ahead, Mr. DeClark aims to extend his tenure in the real estate industry, leveraging his wealth of experience to mentor emerging professionals and contribute to the advancement of the field. He is deeply committed to teaching and has served as a guest lecturer at DePaul University’s Graduate School of Business.
