In this capacity, conducts certification and licensing of residences for individuals with developmental, mental illnesses, and brain injuries. Prior to this, he was the adult foster care coordinator with The Plus Company, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing personalized support, education, and employment opportunities to help them achieve greater independence and integration into the community, from 2005 to 2006. He was also the community living manager at Easterseals New Hampshire, a nonprofit organization that offers comprehensive services and support to individuals with disabilities and special needs, helping them achieve independence, live fuller lives, and engage more fully with their communities, from 1999 to 2005. In light of his impressive undertakings, during his time at Easterseals New Hampshire, he was named Employee of the Year and Manager of the Year. 

Mr. Swanson built a solid educational foundation by earning a Bachelor of Science in human services from Springfield College in 2006 and an EdX Verified Certificate for Biblical Archaeology, a formal credential covering the archaeological study of the Bible, including ancient sites, artifacts, and historical contexts. He takes great pride in his ability to treat individuals with fairness and respect, earning numerous accolades from various agencies for his exemplary work and dedication. He finds immense satisfaction in ensuring community safety and is particularly passionate about providing individuals with disabilities the necessary services and support. When advising future professionals, he says that while the work is rewarding, there are also challenges, including obtaining necessary documents from community members in a timely manner, coordinating prompt submissions, and securing funding for individuals, which is often a complex and time-consuming process. Additionally, managing the database used for their work presents challenges that can complicate daily operations and affect efficiency.

Mr. Swanson attributes his success to hard work and fairness, which he believes are the cornerstones of a prosperous career. He also credits his family, especially his parents and grandparents, who he says have been a source of motivation and inspiration throughout his life. He also received significant assistance along his professional journey from a mentor at the State of New Hampshire, who played a crucial role in his career development, helping him transition from his role as a community living manager at Easterseals New Hampshire to a position at the State of New Hampshire. He hopes to leave behind a legacy of fairness and understanding, demonstrating his commitment to being a positive and supportive presence in the lives of those he encounters. In the coming years, he is determined to continue in his current job, as he finds great joy in his work and takes pride in bringing happiness to people. He is also passionate about bringing positive changes to the youth and the community and hopes to make a difference in their lives. He ultimately aims for a future where he can enjoy retirement and simplify his life.
