Mr. Parks-Shinstock attributes his success in revenue management to building trusted relationships with hotel teams and leaders. He also credits his parents for inspiring his determination and adaptability, which have driven him to find success since beginning work at age 13. In the coming years, he is focused on publishing his book, which will detail how he built a successful corporate career in his 20s without a bachelor’s or associate’s degree. He is also transitioning into entrepreneurship, with plans to open a local coffee shop and eventually expand into a bed-and-breakfast concept. Additionally, he aims to launch his brand, creating a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ locals and visitors to enjoy as their authentic selves.
