John Good, the lead systems architect of fraud detection operations at Wells Fargo, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in fraud operations.

Mr. Good began his professional life in criminal justice, working in a juvenile detention and foster care center. Subsequently, he began a five-year tenure as an employee of a county jail. In 2013, Mr. Good took his career in a new direction, accepting a position as a fraud specialist at Wells Fargo. He initially focused on customer support, helping people navigate instances of suspected fraudulent activity. Since joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Good has been promoted to fraud analyst, team lead, analytic consultant and business analytic manager. As a business analytic manager, he gained extensive experience in fraud case management and the process of setting team standards and guidelines related to these issues.

In 2022, Mr. Good took on his current role of lead systems architect in fraud detection operations for Wells Fargo. His responsibilities include leading a team tasked with planning technology and business processes, with a focus on implementing cutting-edge software to replace older systems. Among his career accomplishments, Mr. Good is particularly proud of building Wells Fargo’s data aggregation framework. This system supports artificial intelligence models, processing immense amounts of data gathered from running different hypothetical scenarios. By analyzing these results, Mr. Good was able to determine the potential risk of different events and prevent the company from losing money.

Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Good built an academic foundation to draw on. He earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice with a minor in history and computer information systems from Culver-Stockton College in 2008. Graduating into a recession, Mr. Good entered a tight job market but embraced his early jobs. He was grateful to his wife for discovering an opportunity at Wells Fargo.

Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Good devotes much of his time and energy outside of work to causes that are important to him. He has volunteered with the United Way since 2016 and has participated in that organization’s Graduation Walk for three years. Mr. Good supports the Food Bank for the Heartland and Habitat for Humanity. He maintains membership as a Freemason.

Throughout his time at Wells Fargo, Mr. Good has emphasized the importance of keeping clients and customers first in mind in everything he does. He believes that all of his work should be in service of providing value to those customers or clients. Mr. Good credits his success to the many mentors who have provided him with guidance over the course of his life. He also points to his dedication to solving problems. Mr. Good gains great satisfaction from overcoming complications and is honored to be trusted with that responsibility.

In addition to his career, Mr. Good is a loving husband and father to four children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with his kids and playing sports. Looking to the future, Mr. Good hopes to increase the scale of his operations. Wherever his professional path leads him, he looks forward to finding new tools to solve problems and contribute to whatever organizations he’s involved with. Mr. Good is also eager to watch his family grow and flourish while keeping them safe.
