For 25 years, Mr. Lam has established himself as a skilled leader in the world of high-end hotels and hospitality. He obtained his first job with Radisson Hotels in 1999, beginning as a front desk agent before being promoted to rooms controller, front desk supervisor, and assistant front office manager. After a brief shift to FedEx for several years, Mr. Lam joined Marriot International Inc. as a guest care manager. Concurrently with that, he became associated with Economos Properties as a front office manager and later a director of operations. While staying with Economos Properties, Mr. Lam gained experience with a variety of major hotel brands, including Hilton Garden Inn, InterContinental Hotels Group, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Best Western Hotels & Resorts and AC Hotels. Since 2017, he has served as an area general manager for Economos Properties, managing a portfolio worth nearly $60 million in revenue while helping develop staff talent.

While already progressing along his professional journey, Mr. Lam sought education at Florida International University, earning a Bachelor of Science in business management in 2005. In addition to his career, he is dedicated to civic advocacy. Mr. Lam volunteers with Feeding South Florida and Habitat for Humanity of Broward. He offers guidance as an advisory committee member for The Dan Marino Foundation and Gang Alternative Inc. Mr. Lam has contributed as the board director for the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the board director and vice president of hotels for the Brower Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. He is also a trustee of The Greater Dania Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Lam is a loving father to one son. His hobbies include going on cruises, off-roading, camping, barbecuing and keeping updated on the latest technological breakthroughs. For the next phase of his career, Mr. Lam is focused on helping young professionals in his industry who may have experienced setbacks in their development due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He hopes to aid the next generation of hospitality workers in understanding how to uphold the core values of the industry while having a fulfilling career and keeping companies profitable.
