With over a decade of experience, Mr. Taylor has established a successful career as an entrepreneur, specializing in entertainment and nonprofit organizations. He currently excels as the founder and chief executive officer at Salute 1st LLC, a position he has held since 2020, and president of Rock Soul Inc. since 2016. In these roles, his responsibilities include supporting entertainment marketing, branding, distribution, and technological needs, as well as providing training and curriculum programs focused on leadership, character development, emotional mastery, and self-governance. Additionally, he is a member of the American Counseling Association. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was awarded an honorary doctorate and the MBE Distinction of the Year Award in North Carolina in 2012.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Taylor became involved in his profession when, despite coming from a challenging background, he took on an entry-level role at a logistics company in 2007. Through hard work and dedication, he earned 49% ownership within three years, ultimately transforming the business into a multimillion-dollar success. In addition to this accomplishment, he and his wife now own multiple entertainment companies and several other successful ventures. His entrepreneurial journey began with a passion for spreading hope, inspiring others with his story, and uplifting those around him.
Over a decade ago, Mr. Taylor embarked on a mission to formalize his vision, founding a school that features a leadership academy and a curriculum-based program. Rock Soul Entertainment, an independently owned entertainment firm, focuses on music, TV/film, and publishing. The company’s strong and impactful alliances and partnerships, both domestically and internationally, enable it to consistently deliver top-tier entertainment experiences while making a positive impact in the industry. Additionally, Salute 1st LLC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to providing exceptional training and curriculum programs. He also takes great pride in having received an exclusive invitation to participate in black belt training with BMW Financial’s internal team, where he stood out as the only minority member.
Mr. Taylor attributes his success to his ability to embrace failure without fear and believes that each failure has brought him closer to success, serving as a valuable lesson that has guided him toward the right path. Through numerous setbacks, he has gained invaluable insights that have ultimately propelled him forward. Looking to the future, he is incredibly optimistic about the potential of his training academy to make a profound impact nationwide. His organization aims to widely share its innovative training and curriculum, reaching and positively influencing as many men as possible. The ultimate goal is to foster a safer, more harmonious world where men lead with integrity, love, and a strong sense of responsibility for themselves and their environment. He is also committed to empowering men to become positive forces for good in society. He envisions himself financially retired in the coming years, but he remains deeply invested in continuing the work of Salute 1st. He plans to ensure that a solid succession plan is in place, enabling the organization to thrive and extend its positive influence well into the future.
