Leon John Ostrowski, MBA, chair of Midwest Wealth Ventures and the Wisconsin River Business Angels, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
With over six decades of experience, Mr. Ostrowski has established a successful career in finance and management. He currently excels as the founder and owner of Opportunity Analysis Associates LLC, and Midwest Wealth Ventures I Wisconsin River Business Angels, now WRBA LLC, since 2014, and Ostrowski Ventures since 2003. His experience also includes trustee emeritus for WiSys Technology Foundation Inc. from 2003 to 2020 and chair emeritus of the advisory group at the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, from 2010 to 2020. His earlier career includes roles such as senior vice president of marketing at Planned Innovation Institute from 2003 to 2014 and new business development at Dow from 1963 to 1997. Laying and educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with minors in math and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1963 and a Master of Business Administration in marketing with a minor in management and finance from Central Michigan University in 1969.
Mr. Ostrowski is also the founder of the nonprofit Heritage of Portage County, Inc., dedicated to preserving Polish heritage, and the Dozynki Harvest Festival, contributing significantly to his community through fundraising and scholarship grants. He also serves on the board of Pyran and is an active member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. Reflecting on his journey, he founded Opportunity Analysis Associates LLC to address the critical gap in market information faced by startups. By applying planned innovation principles, he helps emerging companies bridge the gap between technical expertise and market knowledge, empowering them to succeed in competitive industries. He takes pride in his role in preserving Polish heritage, founding impactful nonprofits, and being the first in his family to attend college. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored with the Polish Heritage Award and a service award from WiSys Technology Foundation Inc. He attributes his success to hard work, collaboration with talented individuals, and his ability to connect with others. Looking ahead, he aims to establish a fully functional entrepreneurial ecosystem in Central Wisconsin, fostering key companies that will drive economic growth and create hundreds of jobs.
