Sarah Olivieri, MPS, chief executive officer of PivotGround, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting.

With two decades of experience, Ms. Olivieri has built a successful career in nonprofit and consulting services, specializing in strategy and operations systems. Since 2014, she has served as the founder of PivotGround, where she provides comprehensive coaching and training in leadership and marketing, working with both nonprofits and for-profit organizations to improve their operational effectiveness and achieve their goals. Her experience also includes owning Big Guy Media Inc. from 2005 to 2016 and founding Olivieri’s Arts, Crafts, and Coffee from 2014 to 2016. She has also held roles such as local representative for Nacel Open Door from 2011 to 2014, deputy director at GRASP from 2008 to 2009, executive director of Helping Children of War Foundation from 2008 to 2009, and co-founder and executive director of the Open Center for Autism from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, she served as manager of programs for the ASPIE Program from 2005 to 2006 and as a teacher with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program from 2003 to 2004. Laying a strong educational foundation, she earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Chicago in 2003 and a master’s degree in public service with a focus on humanistic multicultural education from SUNY New Paltz.

In addition to her professional work, Ms. Olivieri has made significant contributions to her field as a contributor to “The One Thing Every Mompreneur Needs to Know” in 2019, co-producer of “In the Night Sky: I Recall a UFO” in 2013, and co-author of “Lesson Plan à la Carte: Integrated Planning for Students With Special Needs” in 2011. She has also dedicated her time as a member of the board of directors for the John Burroughs Association from 2016 to 2020 and as a member of the board of trustees for High Meadow School from 2017 to 2019. Reflecting on her path, she has been deeply involved with various nonprofits, including her work as a program manager of the ASPIE School, supporting educational initiatives for individuals on the autism spectrum. She then co-founded the Open Center for Autism, a program designed for children with autism, and later served as deputy director at GRASP, an advocacy organization for adults on the spectrum. Eventually, she established her own company, initially focusing on website development, which evolved into PivotGround. PivotGround began by providing digital marketing services to nonprofits, helping them fundraise and connect with their target audiences, and later transitioned into coaching and training nonprofit leaders in effective organizational management.

Additionally, Ms. Olivieri developed an operating system called The Impact Method for nonprofits and now also teaches for-profit organizations how to leverage it effectively. The Impact Method comprises tools and processes that empower nonprofit leaders to manage their organizations effectively. It encompasses three key areas: strengthening organizational capacity through a clear vision, core beliefs guiding their mission and a set of guiding principles, developing and executing strategy, and embracing continuous improvement. She attributes her success to her critical problem-solving skills, high self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ability to understand group dynamics in leadership roles. Looking to the future, she aims to expand the reach of the Impact Method to more organizations, promoting business excellence within the nonprofit sector.
