Ms. Garcia, a prominent security professional, has owned and taught firearms training at Garcia’s Security Training and Live Scan since 2008. Subsequently, she launched Garcia’s Private Security Inc. in 2017 as the company’s chief executive officer. Leveraging her former experience, Ms. Garcia was a security operations human resource manager at Marina Security Services from 2013 to 2017.
Based in Hayward, California, Ms. Garcia splits her time between managing both companies. Her initial entrepreneurial endeavor, Garcia’s Security Training, specializes in providing security training courses and guard licensing to individuals interested in future careers in security. Courses are offered online and in-person and include firearms, power to arrest, OC spray, first aid, and other critical areas.
A hands-on business professional, Ms. Garcia is an instructor of firearms, tasers, tear gas and batons. She also teaches and trains those interested in becoming security officers. She and her team of instructors are all certified through the state of California. The company is also licensed through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Apart from her primary duties, Ms. Garcia provides clients with mobile live scans and notary public services.
As an extension of Garcia’s Security Training, Ms. Garcia launched Garcia’s Private Security Inc., a reputable security services company that provides first-class security and concierge support. Offering camera surveillance and vehicle patrol, her team of highly skilled and certified security guards has expertise in event security, roving patrol, and private, corporate, residential and commercial security. As a dedicated business owner, Ms. Garcia presently oversees a team of approximately 40 individuals.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Ms. Garcia spent the earlier half of her career working for the U.S. Government. She gained extensive experience in areas such as children’s protective services and law enforcement. Ms. Garcia was recently also offered an opportunity to apply with the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, which needed instructors to serve on its review panel. Since Ms. Garcia holds multiple licenses, she is an excellent candidate for the position and looks forward to serving in this capacity.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Garcia received an associate degree in business administration and management and criminal justice from Heald College in Fresno, California, in 2008. Highly qualified in her industry, she has been a licensed instructor since 2010 and received certification as an Oleoresin Capsicum pepper spray instructor in 2011 through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
In support of her professional endeavors, Ms. Garcia is a member of the National Rifle Association. She has also been active locally as a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Garcia’s hard work and dedication have earned her a Recognition Award from the Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized, or POWER, in 2020. She credits much of her success to her father, a retired security company owner. Having witnessed firsthand the intricacies of the industry while coming age, he was instrumental in Ms. Garcia’s development. Eager for the future of her career in this sector, she intends to focus more on training since it is what she is most passionate about.
