Bygnal Daniel Dutson, founding partner at Open Sky Zion, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hospitality.
With nearly a decade of experience, Mr. Dutson has established a successful career in hospitality, specializing in luxury camping. He currently serves as founding partner of Open Sky Zion, a role he has held since 2018. In this position, he oversees financial operations, collaborates with the team to ensure the company stays on course, explores new revenue opportunities, and is spearheading the development of a new location in Missouri. He also works as a realtor with Century 21 Everest, a position he has held since 2017, and as a private lender at Ality Capital Management Inc. since 2014. His experience also includes student intern at Squatty Potty LLC in 2017, business owner of Maid To Perfection Cleaning Services from 2014 to 2016, driver and manager at Barco Trucking LLC from 2012 to 2014, and involvement in commercial and residential housing construction with Valley West Builders Inc. from 2006 to 2012. He has also dedicated his time as a speaker with MPact Wealth since 2014.
Additionally, Mr. Dutson served as president of the Dixie Tub Thumpers Club with Toastmasters International from 2016 to 2017 and is an active member of the American Glamping Association and his local Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as a board member of UPTRUST and volunteers with local community initiatives, including Jubilee of Trees for Intermountain Health. Laying a strong educational foundation, he earned an associate of science in business management and entrepreneurship from Dixie State University, now Utah Tech University, in 2020 and completed coursework in business management. He also holds certifications in private lending from MPact Wealth and real estate through Rich Dad Education by the Rich Dad Company.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Dutson has earned several prestigious awards, including the 10Best Reader’s Choice Award for Best Glamping Spot from USA Today, the Member of the Year Award from the American Glamping Association, and the Best of the Best Award from the International Interior Design Association. He attributes his success to perseverance, grit, and determination in pursuing his goals, even in the face of rejection. When launching Open Sky, he and his team pitched their proposal to 40 different investors, all of whom declined. Instead of giving up, they learned from the experience, refined their approach, and persevered. In the coming years, he aims to expand Open Sky to five additional locations, either within the United States or internationally.
