Before launching his firm, Mr. Thurmond was a senior investment executive and assistant vice president at Fifth Third Bank from 2001 to 2009, where he notably managed approximately 800 client relationships and amassed $75 million in assets under management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Thurmand worked in retail management as a store manager at Horton’s Hardware (now Highlands Hardware) between 1996 and 2002. This foundational role was pivotal in shaping his ability to communicate with customers and learn the value of team collaboration.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Thurmond achieved a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Louisville in 2000. Additionally, he received Series 7, 63 and 66 and life and health insurance licensure in Kentucky and Indiana, making him highly qualified in his field. Besides his educational accomplishments, Mr. Thurmond has served in various positions for civic organizations, including Kentucky to the World Inc. as the board chair and The Executives Club of Louisville and the Bourbon Society of Louisville as a past president. He remains active with the Kentucky Humane Society, the Waterfront Botanical Gardens, the Olmsted Parks Conservancy, and Habitat for Humanity International, reflecting his passion for community welfare.
