PJ Andersson, chief executive officer of Golden Bay Distillery, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in food and beverage and finance.

Mr. Andersson, a distinguished professional in the food and beverage sector, has served as the co-founder and chief executive officer of Golden Bay Distillery Ltd. & LiuBaJiuJiu Ltd., a global alcohol brand that he founded in 2016. As such, he has become well-known for creating purpose brands, with a fascinating model for the company that allows it to make money while also giving back to the community.

Garnering extensive success, Mr. Andersson launched three special edition products called Championz Gin to celebrate local champions. The first honors fallen law enforcement officers, the second is dedicated to firefighters and emergency medical technicians, and the third is for military personnel. All 100% of their profits have supported these three units. Mr. Andersson also partnered with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund in Washington, D.C., where 50% of the revenue goes directly to charities like the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center in Little Falls, New Jersey, a nonprofit learning center and tribute to the life and career of American icon Yogi Berra.

Before pivoting into the beverage industry, Mr. Andersson spent over 20 years in finance, where he gained tremendous success. More recently, he served as the head of equities Asia ex-Japan at Mizuho Securities Company Ltd. in Hong Kong from 2014 to 2016. Before that, Mr. Andersson spent 15 years at Citigroup, beginning in Tokyo as the head of equities derivative sales between 1998 and 2001, then in the same capacities in New York City until 2008. Subsequently, he became the head of equity sales from 2008 to 2010 and the head of Pan-Asian equity derivative and convertible sales until 2013.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Andersson became recognized as a candidate attorney through Rushmere Noach Inc. in the Port Elizabeth area of South Africa between 1992 and 1993. He then joined Morgan Stanley in London in 1994 as a convertible bond sales professional from 1994 to 1995 before being acquired by BZW Securities in London and Tokyo, where he worked in convertible bond and equity derivatives sales until 1998. Mr. Andersson’s expertise in portfolio management, hedge funds, options, derivatives, structuring, securities and asset management have been pivotal to his success in finance.

Mr. Andersson holds a Bachelor of Laws from Rhodes University in South Africa in 1991 and successfully passed the South African sidebar exam in 1993. He also secured several professional credentials, including as a chartered financial analyst. Furthermore, Mr. Andersson completed the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma in London and the MIT Fintech Future Commerce online course. He speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese.

Recognized for his volunteer efforts, Mr. Andersson received a Certificate of Recognition from the Gay Games 11 Hong Kong in 2024 for his commitment, support and dedication in creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. He has also generously supported various causes and intends to collaborate with New Jersey law enforcement and law enforcement throughout the United States. Mr. Andersson’s goal is to donate $1 billion to charity by the time he turns 75.

Mr. Andersson’s success as the founder of Golden Bay Distillery has earned him several accolades, including being a category winner for the Vodka Awards and World’s Best Design. He attributes his success to his parents, who instilled in him the values of living like a champion, never giving up, always doing the right thing and treating everyone with respect.
