Specializing in finish carpentry installation, she and her team of talented professionals focus on the quality, safety and longevity of the company’s products. In addition to managing her employees and visiting sites to ensure efficiency, Ms. Price manages all the company’s operational components, concentrating on financing, forecasting, and bookkeeping. She also spends considerable time determining the best products and how they can be utilized.
Launching her company with co-founder Jack Price, Ms. Price and he were in the same business class in high school. Teaming up to create a new business as part of an assignment, she was more involved in the business aspect, while Jack focused on industry products Eventually, they both relocated to Colorado and founded Custom Installers of Colorado LLC.
Besides her commitments to Custom Installers of Colorado LLC, Ms. Price has been the owner and director of CI Woodworkers of America since 2016. The school is recognized as an approved Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) adult training school specializing in commercial finish carpentry. Since the school’s founding, Ms. Price has successfully guided students through multiple four-year apprenticeships, educating over 100 students and employees while overseeing the completion of more than 9,500 projects. Once students complete their schooling, CI Woodworkers of America also provides employment opportunities.
Highly educated, Ms. Price holds an Associate of Applied Science in hospitality service management from the Denver Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in small business management from Regis University. She also garnered a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Financial Management from Westwood College-Denver. Besides her formal education, Ms. Price received OSHA credentials as an accredited educational facilitator at the Southern University of Florida.
Ms. Price is active with several professional organizations, including the Small Business Association. She is also affiliated with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration as the director of its safety program. Additionally, Ms. Price serves on the National Small Business Association’s leadership council and environmental, economic and tax committees. Civically, Ms. Price supports the American National Red Cross.
One of Ms. Price’s most notable achievements throughout her career was testifying against several financial institutions in Salida, Colorado, to support small businesses affected by bank closures. During the recession, she researched and provided courtroom testimony, demonstrating the economic hardships small business owners face. Ms. Price also wrote a proposal to the United States Congress, advocating for reform within the income tax system to better protect small businesses during economic downturns. Ms. Price reflects on her hard work and credits her success to her keen ability to listen to the needs of others and find solutions to improve their situations.
